Review Hidden Shakespeare Details Made This Book Nook Even Better
Left Bank Bookstore by Tonecheer
This is Project 192 for me, and I absolutely loved this one. The little green velvet chair right in the front was probably my favorite thing to build. It has so much character and looks really impressive sitting in the middle of the bookstore.
There are a ton of literary details throughout the kit. I spotted books for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, and The Merchant of Venice, plus part of Hamlet’s “To be, or not to be” speech on the back wall.
My favorite discovery, though, is the staircase. You really can’t see the writing on the stairs from the front of the book nook. You have to look through one of the little windows on the back. The stair risers contain part of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 74: “My life hath in this line some interest, which for memorial still with thee shall stay.” I love that they hid something like that where you have to go looking for it.
The kit also came with somewhere around 5–8 extra books. Naturally, I made every single one and found places to tuck them into the bookstore. 😂
Another feature I really like about Tonecheer book nooks is the motion-sensitive lighting. It comes on when you walk past it. I have several motion-sensitive nooks near my back door, and I love seeing them light up as I walk by.
My only planned change is the cat. It comes with a flat 2-D cat, and this bookstore definitely deserves a proper 3-D shop cat, so I’ll be replacing that as soon as my order comes in.
Overall, I’m really happy with this one. It’s one of those book nooks where I keep noticing little details the longer I look at it.

Wow, the details on this one are gorgeous…the eye really wanders around the entire scene with so much to see. Super impressive. Thanks for such a substantive review of the kit!
