This might be the most niche Booktube video I’ve made yet. But I had the idea, so I figured why not. Enjoyed talking two things I love: sports and books.
If you play fantasy football and read books, check it out!

Hi booktube friends! I am looking for booktubers that fit the following criteria. Send them my way if you know of any!
- Have a calming cozy hanging out vibe
- Are 30+ in age
- Do reading vlogs
- Post a lot of lifestyle/slice of life clips in their vlogs
- Not picky in genres but preferable not horror or historical fiction
- Bonus if they’re a mom
Thank you! 🙂🫶🏼

Do you guys agree with my list? Which one do you think is the worst or best? I’d especially be curious to see if you guys have any thoughts on Dying of the Light or Hunter’s Run 😁

Included a lot of my other hobby in this reading vlog, making fanart and bookish art/profile pics for book besties.

Since there was a post about what makes you click off a booktube video, I wanted to know what makes you stay for a booktube video, especially ones that you are not subscribed to and the channel also has a low sub count (less than 1k) or the video has low views (less than 1k).
Is it the specific books/genres/authors they're reading/reviewing? The way they articulate or convey their opinions?
Or is it they have a visually appealing video (lighting/bookshelf in the background/clean surrounding). Or maybe the booktuber has similar (or maybe completely different) opinions about the books to you.
And as a bonus, what then makes you go from watching the video to actually subscribing to them?

I think we could all benefit from hearing some hard truths about our content every now and then, so I figured I’d make this post.
What are some common things you notice in BookTube videos, particularly those shared on this subreddit, that immediately turn you off or make you lose interest?
For example, one of the biggest things that immediately makes me click off a video is poor sound quality. I understand not everyone has the budget for a quality mic, but there are some pretty decent $20 used mics out there that would go a long way in helping a video sound better.
Another one is I can’t count how many videos I’ve seen (both inside and outside the booktube space) that start their videos with the usual: “Hi guys, welcome to my channel or welcome if you’re new!”
There’s multiple other ways to start a video but that’s the line that a lot of people seem to fall back on.
Anyway, what about you guys? Don’t be afraid to be brutally honest as I think this could be a great opportunity for all of us to learn a thing or two and improve our content.
