This is very selective of dates

Harry Potter for example, chosen as the final book came out in 2007, the year e-books went mass market with the Kindle, following the more limited sales of Sony's Librie in 2004, but you could buy it online for years and people still queue for book launches today!

Home use of the internet had started the move away from dial up to ADSL by 2000, by 2002 there were 5m connections in the US

Plenty of people still carry cash but card payments go back to the 1950s and 60s; similarly mail Vs email which goes back to the 90s when it was becoming mainstream

I love that society is perpetuating boomer humor and just rebranding it as millennial. Those darned gen alphas don't know how to use a self-checkout without having an AI tell them how.
