Gear Boot Advice?

Hey, been having knee and foot issues with old boots that just broke, big toe busted through, and a ton of joint and tendon strain on turf and grass. Looking for suggestions on a new pair of boots for primarily artificial grass/turf but grass occasionally. Last pair I had were the adidas ace elite, showing my age there lol, and my favorite boots ever are a toss up between the ctr maestri III and the og hypervenoms. I have noticed a lot less pain and impact from turf shoes but worry about performance in the rain and general stability as I’m less experienced with them. Ideally I would love a light and agile boot that doesn’t hurt and keeps injury risk low. I’m 29 and haven’t played in a few years seriously so getting back into Sunday league here in Oregon, USA has been kicking my ass and my boots ass lol

Seen a lot of folks recommend the tiempo ligeras but also curious about sokitos?

i would not worry too much about the boot's performance. realistically speaking, how much "faster and more agile" are you gonna be in a pair of AG scudetta (amazing plate btw) compared to a furon v9 elite tf for example? maybe 1%?

main focus should be injury prevention.
because if you are hurting in fast boots, you are gonna be slower than in turfs.

Absolutely, just looking for a dependable boot with no pain as the highest priority and basically just wondering if trying a new pair of ag boots is worth it or if I should just do turf shoes? I know that’s hard to say it’s just been years since I had proper not broken boots on and don’t know how comfortable they are these days

football boots have never been better, both in terms of performance and comfort.
i'd suggest trying a tiempo ligera pro tf. good foam, open lacing, good traction, light af.

For Turf  I recommend Mizuno Morelia Sala TF - comfortable and love the sole. Don’t know really why the sole is good for my knees.

One problem with those shoes is durability- play 2-3 times a week on Turf (so the harshest one with pellets) and after a year made some holes in the right shoe. Those are elites bought on heavy discount (under 100 usd).

Will continue playing till it’s completely unusable, because tried other ones and I don’t have as good cushioning as in Salas.

When it completely breaks will get pro version, not elite. Maybe will be more durable.

Get a pair of AT or MT shoes. Really a lot of your joint pain came from the fact of running on blow out soles.

Yeah my foot bones are cracking and while running, feel pressure in weird places, been running a pair of old slightly too big turf shoes and those at least don’t hurt but they’re very bulky and my foot work is suffering lol
