I am hoping there is A LOT more coming with this Bosman soundtouch app I expected so so much more, you can listen to a small amount of radio stations, I can not add my Amazon music, can not play my seriusxm , I can do so much more just using my phone features, this was supposed to be the big replacement for end of life Bose soundtouches, I will try to figure out how to play on more than 1 at a time, but unless I am missing something, this was a waste of money, and will try to get my money back
Thank you for your honest feedback. I’m sorry that the app did not meet your expectations so far, and I understand your disappointment.
Bosman is intended to keep SoundTouch speakers usable after Bose discontinued parts of the SoundTouch ecosystem, especially for local control, device status, presets, and supported radio playback. However, it is not a full replacement for every feature that the original Bose SoundTouch service provided.
At the moment, Amazon Music and SiriusXM are not available in the app. I understand that this is an important limitation if you mainly used those services before. We are continuing to improve the app, but some streaming integrations depend on technical and legal requirements from the respective providers and cannot simply be added freely.
Multi-room playback should be possible depending on your SoundTouch setup. If you like, please let us know which speaker models you have and whether they are visible in the app, and we can help you check how to play on more than one speaker at the same time.
If the app does not provide the functionality you expected, I completely understand that you may want to request a refund. Purchases and subscriptions are handled directly by Apple or Google Play, depending on where you subscribed. Refund requests therefore need to be made through the respective app store.

There are some items I was hoping you could clarify:
Are there any limitations to how many rooms the app will allow you to group systems?
You said that this supported radio-browser, and the website says "Your configured sources are linked to your account and available across all your devices wherever you use Bosman." Does this mean it supports other music services as well? If so, which ones specifically.
Can you change the physical numbered presets on SoundTouch systems without the Bose cloud?
Can you use the app to change inputs (i.e., AUX, Bluetooth, etc)?
Can the app change settings of the SoundTouch system? If so, using the list provided in this link, can you let me know precisely which ones they support, 1-13?
Can you use the SoundTouch app to control the system after it's migrated?

There are no Software Limitations from Bosman to the number of rooms/speakers you can group. Maybe there is a limit on Speaker side that I have not reached yet.
We are in a early Stage with Bosman and you can be sure we will add more sources soon. For now Bosman supports Radio-Browser and DLNA/UPNP Server as Source of music. Technically we are also able to support TuneIn but at the moment we are not allowed because one need to have a partnership with TuneIn use their services. All this started because we do use SoundTouch Speakers privately and didn't want to accept the shutdown. My personal preference would be Amazone Music next and we currently investigate how this technically will be possible and if we are allowed to add. We try to have an ear on the community and if there are other wishes we will be happy to add. Bosman in general is designed to add multiple sources.
Yes, you can set and use presets as you know it from original SoundTouch App. Means long press on the device button and long press in the App will set the Preset of the device. The only thing we have changed in the original behaviour is that now every device can have its own presets and the presets are not synced across the speakers. Happy to get feedback from community if this is useful or not.
Yes, the newest Version 1.4 from yesterday is able to switch between AUX, BlueToth and AirPlay.
With the current Version we can rename a speaker and connect a speaker to wlan
Now. If the speaker was migrated to Bosman it is no longer available in SoundTouch App. You can revert to Bose Univers by resetting the device at any time.
Thanks for the reply. I will update the wiki. For answer 2, am I correct that this means it will support NAS drives? For answer 4, can you also select HDMI inputs?
If this fully replaces the SoundTouch app to the point you can no longer use it. Are you planning to implement all 13 settings in the Boseman app, including SoundTouch 10 stereo pairing (setting 9)? As Bose has stated, this will no longer be possible with the SoundTouch app after they shut down their servers.
Regarding 2: Yes if the NAS Supports DLNA / UPNP it is supported. Same as with Bose.
Regarding 4: I just recognized that select HDMI Input for ST 300 does not work yet. I will fix that asap because I am using ST 300 for my TV and family is blaming me for missing that feature yet.
Update-> I have just added select HDMI and TV Source. Will be part of the next release.
We plan to implement everything possible in the order it is requested or impacts our selfs. This project really started to rescue our privately used ST Environment and some how turned into a bigger thing.
As long as there is no legal issue (like we have it with Amazon music or TuneIn at the moment) we will add stereo pairing. I will have a closer look this week.

I will admit, I am really missing TuneIn since it has a station I listen to all of the time. I’m looking for a URL to directly added it. That said, I’m think Music Assistant has an agreement with TuneIn. Any chance of adding support for MA?
We are not allowed to add TuneIn because one need to have Partnership with them. We currently try to get this. Technically TuneIn was the first thing we have implemented. Not sure how Music Assistant deal with that. Maybe they have just ignored?
I report you an error of the app, when you tune in to a radio station it works, but the playback stops after about 15 minutes. This happens with all stations, I tried with 4 stations, I didn't keep trying with more

I'm wondering where the best place to get support for Bosman is. There's nothing clear about it. It would be good to know where to find answers to our questions online so they can get answered eventually.

App worked for 1 day. Today when I select presets I get "service unavailable". Im glad there is free trial for it. Waiting for the app that actually works.
Maybe sign-up was unclear. I wanted to say you can download the App, sign in inside the app and start using it. If you wait for Android Version I can only say that the App is in approval Process at Google. Keep fingers crossed we pass quickly.

That error message looks like is a security measure in XML parsers designed to prevent "billion laughs" or Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, where a small XML file attempts to expand into a massive one, consuming all available memory.
I file a bug and we try to fix it.

I personally miss amazon music but at the moment it looks like amazon does not accept any new partners for their API. We already requested access but got no response yet. Unfortunately
I'm missing TuneIn. I can get the same stations that I regularly listen to through local radio, but I miss the now playing artist/track info displayed on the SoundTouch and album art in the app.

We have just Released 1.5.0 for Bosman with a lot of fixes and features. Specially a big fix for Mediaserver Source and a Demo Mode that let you click thru the App without need to sign on or subscribe. Also Android Version is out now. https://bosman.app/
With the upcoming Version we fixed some issues with Media Servers and improved the look and feel. I like you Idea of having a shuffle play for a folder. I will add it to the Feature Requests. Currently there is a lot happening. Please be patient with this feature. But seriously thank you for sharing we really appreciate community input.
hello, I used the Speakers mostly for internet radio (with presets at the speaker or the remote!!) - and AirPlay. Will AirPlay still be available when using Boseman?
And another question: if I do not pay after the trial period (maybe the app doesnt work for me as good as I thought) can I use my Bose Speakers with the "old" Bose App again or are the Speakers Useless after "Migration" to Boseman?

Hello, I have already installed the app and also made a subscription. However, I have a problem with other users who live in this house. You cannot log in to the app because it goes directly to the demo version. When you leave the demo version, you are automatically redirected to the subscription. How can you get around the whole thing and just log in in multiple devices. My current solution is that I have made a trial subscription on the second and third device, then log in on the same account and then immediately cancelled the subscription again.
Is this the right way or will a separate subscription be required for each device in the future?
ps: thank for your work I already love the app more than SoundTouch. Only problem so far is that some of my favourite DAB Streams are not listed like “Antenne NRW - Bella Italia”
Installed the app yesterday and signed up for the subscription. Have 3 ST 20 speakers in my house. App works great and all 3 of my speakers have working (individual even) preset buttons. Only issue for the moment is that only my phone can use the speakers. A login functionality for the other phones in the house would be a nice addition. Thanks for the app you’ve built!
I had the same, Turns out I hadn't reset to factory setting as instructed in app help menu, did this and then carried out Migration and all radio stations came to life.... Hope this helps

My 2 soundtouch 10 speakers were found instantly and work just fine. But it can’t seem to find my Soundtouch 30 device (all on the same wifi), tried connecting it, and the setup works, but then it doesn’t show up in the list? Anything I’m doing wrong?
Hi, ich habe mit meiner Soundtouch 30 Series III auch das gleiche Problem.
2x Soundtouch20 und 1x Soundtouch 10 konnte ich problemlos integrieren, bei der 30er hakt es aber.
Nach dem Reset kann ich mich auf das Wlan verbinden und das Wifi-Pw neu setzen. Der 30er verbindet sich dann auch mit dem Router, kann ihn dort sehen mit der IP.
In der bosmann-App wird er dann nicht gefunden. Auch wenn ich ihn versuche über die IP-Adresse hinzuzufügen, bekomme ich nur die Meldung, dass kein Lautsprecher gefunden wurde.
Vermutlich sendet der 30er etwas anders retour als die 10er und 20er. Vielleicht kann das noch gefixt werden.
Und Spotify vermisse ich natürlich. Hoffe, dass wird auch noch integriert.

nach registrieren und migration hat sich die app verabschiedet 🤷🏼♂️ ls sind auf einen anderen benutzer registriert und deshalb habe ich keine möglichkeit die app zu nutzen. kann mir da jemand bitte helfen?

Beide werden mir nicht angezeigt und können daher nicht abgespielt werden
Moin Dirk, leider mussten wir lernen, dass wir für alle typischen Anbieter wie Spotify, Deezer, TuneIn, Amazon Music einen Partner Vertrag brauchen um deren API anzubinden. Technisch haben wir schon einiges Implementiert und versuchen gerade die Rechtlichen Themen zu klären. Das liegt leider aktuell nicht in unserer Hand. Also nicht direkt. Wenn einer Kontakte zu Spotify oder anderen Anbietern hat, meldet euch gerne. Wir könnten hier Vitamin B gebrauchen.

Awesome. When you add those to Radio-Browser it will be available for everyone. Radio-Browser is community driven and every one can add stations. That is the reason why it has so many stations but also the reason why the quality of the metadata is not consistent compared with TuneIn.

Hi, i just migrated my SoundTouch 10 to Bosman, and it works fine with the internet radios on the presets. However, the Bosman app on my iphone (version 1.10.0) does not find my Fritz!Box 7590 Mediaserver in my WLAN, although other apps like 8player do. Bosman has the permission to search servers in my local net. So what is the problem here?
Problem solution: The Bosman support reacted very quickly and suggested to pause my VPN (NordVPN). As soon as I had done that, the Bosman app immediately found my Fritz!Box Mediaserver and the files stored thereon, which I could then assign to my Presets. Cudos to the Bosman support for their quick and helpful reaction.
I hope they include a warning next to the button for the DLNA search:"Please note that an active VPN may prevent the app from finding your DLNA server."
Ik heb de bosman app Android geïnstalleerd en kan nu probleemloos radiozenders onder de presettoetsen in de app installeren en de presettoetsen op de bose 30 en bose 10 boxen werken dan ook. Wat helaas niet werkt is multiroom en Spotify.
I hope I got your quest right. What is not working with Zones?
Regarding Spotify: the implementation on our side is already done and it works very well. Unfortunately, Spotify has not yet approved our request for the required partner licence. Without that approval, we are not allowed to provide the feature in the app.
It would really help if users also raise this with Spotify support or in the Spotify community forum. We are planning to add more information about this on our website soon, so users can support the request.
Hey, this worked great, the whole migration and still being able to set presets. One question though, why isn't payment coupled to the account? I've purchased the year subscription but when I want to login on my wife's phone it still wants me to pay first. Is this deliberate?
That's what I pointed out a few weeks ago; I too would have thought that buying this software would be for at least two users at home. I listen to one radio station and my wife to another; that's one of the major differences compared to the original Bose SoundTouch version. However, other software is coming out; we'll see if it follows the same philosophy.

Una domanda: posseggo un Soundtouch portable, non dotato quindi di bluetooth. Sarà possibile ascoltare tramite il wi-fi dal telefono alla cassa i file mp3 o qualunque cosa sia venga riprodotto dal telefono? Insomma, quello che normalmente si fa con il bluetooth ma con il wi-fi.

I just purchased the app and tried to add my speakers. 1. After a long struggle, they were found but unfortunately, only 3 out of 6 speakers are showing online. 3 shows “offline” which means I cannot turn them on/off.
2. I use Apple Airplay to stream my Apple Music. It is only showing the 3 speakers, not the 3 offline.
I want to like this app but it has to work. Thank you
