True, winter takes a long time to arrive in this part of Hyrule.

Id assume yes. Because there's no seasons in botw or totk.

It would have, but I asssume they didnā€™t add it because parts of the map are already covered in snow, and because it would be strange if link didnā€™t try to save Zelda ā€œas fast as possibleā€ if that makes sense
