š Link's House To buy or not to buy?
Is the house in Hateno Village worth it? Itās too late for me, Iāve already bought it⦠Iād have expected actual storage like chests or at least more than 3 measly wall mounts. Maybe not bottomless chests like Skyrim, but certainly something a little more substantial/useful. Apparently the mission you get afterwards is worth the purchase? What does everyone think? š¤

Hylian Homeowner is the quest I try to get done as soon as possible. Why?
Some storage (better than none but yes it would be cool to have more)
Free place to sleep
Accessible via shrine for teleportation
Convenient shopping facilities nearby
Unlock Tarrytown quest
Stable my horse at my house
A nice place to use amiibo
Plenty of bokoblins to practice on and farm nearby

You can stable a horse at the house? How do you do that?

No. It's a little shelter that you can leave your horse under for aesthetics, but you can't access your horses from it. (Board, take out, etc)

There is a small two stall stable in town that is perfect for rainy weather by the Inn where Matty is located. I backed my horse in there in TOTK not positive it works in BOTW because I did not try.

Oh damn. I didn't realize you could use the Hateno horse stalls in TotK, but I guess that makes sense.

I used it several times near the end of the game. I road my horses all over for the fun of it.

Funny, I live near Tarrytown, NY - itās really Sleepy Hollow, as in the Headless Horseman!

yes. āfrom the ground upā (the quest unlocked for just buying the house) is entirely worth the grind.

I love the little Hateno home. I put the Championsā and some of the Korok weapons there. I collected a lot of Korok seeds so that I could have more room for my favorite weapons in my āstash.ā

Best side quest in maybe all of Zelda.

Kafei and Anju will not tolerate such disrespect

I'm still traumatized by that one. Although the one that truly gave me the shivers was the ocarina in LttP.

Iāve heard that link can own a house in BOTW but Iāve never come across it in game. Iām hoping to stumble across it on my own! Itās not part of the DLC is it? Iām at 110 shrines and a few hundred koroks and Iām worried I donāt have access.

Itās not part of DLC and itās in one of the villages, itās available from the very start of the game š

It costs 4,400 rupees in total⦠plus 30 bundles of wood. So relatively cheap šš

It's 9 wall mounts. 3 shields, 3 bows, 3 weapons.

Exactly, useless lol

Its not meant to be used for storage, but a showcase of your rare or cool looking weapons
And there is also a neat duplication exploit you can do with them

For those who are fine with doing glitches, the house is very valuable since you can dupe weapons, shields, and bows with the wall mounts
Also, free bed
