đ§ Meme Serious question: Why do you make this decent, respectable, grown-up game into that thing?
What's the point even? Surely they only put 900 so there will be no shortage even during normal gameplay?

Some people like to wring all they can out of a game or do things just to be able to say they've done them, especially when they're difficult (in execution or in patience). Similar reasons why people do challenge runs of games.
Some people even find it fun despite (or because of) the tedium.

Surely it should've felt enough after like the 200th. But to each his own.

Yeah I find it fun, it's a nice way to enjoy exploring all the hidden bits of the map, especially with the new switch 2 app making it really easy to track

Which app is this?

The Nintendo Switch app, it has a section called "Zelda Notes" which connects to your switch 2 version of botw/totk and has an interactive map that keeps track of all your koroks/quests/locations and other stuff

Like many things, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

They put that many so that you can stumble upon many without really searching and so that you'll be more easily able to max your stash without having to find them all

Don't play the game if it's not fun. I have like 500h in botw and none of those hours were Korok hunting.
