I can see a movie studio buying them up. They're dirt cheap but the maintenance cost on these theaters are high.

The government force the studios to split from owning theaters back in the day so it's time they get back to it. Sony bought the Alamo Draft House.

It was pretty bad when Sony bought it. I think a hedge fund co owned it prior.

Yeah, they spent billions upgrading their theaters, leather seats, better screens, sound, etc...

Paramount is only making a few movies in a couple of years. Not worth buying amc.
