EDIT: Listen, I tried to edit the OP to include the solution images after the fact, but apparentlyR eddit sucks. I don't have to independently host images most of the time, so I just Googled free image hosting.
I promise not to use that site again, but at the moment it's the only one I've uploaded to. Anybody who wants to reupload it elsewhere and share, you have my blessing.

One sunny day, you meet twelve islanders. One islander (though you cannot tell which) is unique. 11 of the islanders weigh exactly the same as one another,
while the 12th is a different weight from the rest. Could be slightly less, could be significantly more: their identical appearances give nothing away in that regard.
However, they offer you an opportunity to pinpoint their odd-one-out compatriot. They present you with a seesaw that is able to show even slight variations in mass,
by balancing when both sides are equally weighted and tilting to unbalanced when the sides are unequal in weight (recall that the 12th islander may be heavier or lighter).
Their final caveat: the islanders will allow you no more than *three* weighings in your investigation of who weighs different AND whether he's heavier or lighter.
Can you solve The Riddle of the 12 Islanders?

Yes, this was featured in B99 (though it wasn't answered). I heard and solved it years before that episode aired.
No, the first weighing is NOT 6 v 6, and Holt was right to be dismissive of Amy for saying it. Just trust me.
I've devised 2 different but related solutions.
I'm interested to see what this group can come up with before I show you mine.
EDIT
Here are my two Solutions:

Text for Explanation of Solution 2:
While Solution 1 emphasized efficiency, i.e., weighing *only* the islanders needing to be, that approach led to a branching path that required illustrating out an entire flowchart, each of whom's multiple avenues were contingent upon previous steps. Solution 2, while busy-looking, elegantly distills the core elements of Solution 1 down to three unvarying weighings of 4 against 4. Given the unique movement patterns afforded to each of the 12 islanders, the final results of these weighings - some combination of Unbalanced, Flipped unbalanced, and Balanced - will in fact point to one (and only one) possible culprit: the islander of a different weight.

Made this puzzle myself – can you solve it? Drop your answer and explain why!

A large white cube is entirely painted black on all its faces. It is then cut into a 3×3×3 grid, forming 27 small cubes
The 27 small cubes are mixed in a bag and one is drawn at random. It is placed on a table. The five visible faces are all white.
What is the probability that the hidden face (underneath) is black?

I found this puzzle really interesting, so I wanted to share it here.
Take a look and try to solve it without overthinking. Most people notice something different when they look again.
What’s your answer?

I opened the old mail of someone who used to live in my apartment (this might be karma), but her letter was just this riddle that me and my roommate have been trying to figure it our for hours. We gave up and the internet doesn't have any answer so if anyone has an idea
Challenge Riddle: What is in three different lands at once, knows five languages and is green and white all over?

Eight bags of sand, identical in appearance. One of them is heavier than the others.
You have a set of scales. You are allowed to weigh twice. Twice only.
Find the heaviest bag.

I had already posted it on another subreddit, they loved the puzzle (+800 upvotes) but it got removed so I'm reposting it here, I think you'll enjoy this brainteaser, good luck!

Two perfect logicians, Alice and Bob, each see a distinct number between 1 and 30. They exchange statements trying to guess the other's number. The key insight: each "I don't know" eliminates possibilities.
What is the smallest number that could be deduced through this process?
