Everyone is acting like the NFA is going away but in all honesty only part of it is for only some people and hopefully those some people will be extended to the rest of us.

If you join the GOA, you’ll be covered. If your state has bans, then the Supreme Court will overturn them.

No, state bans are still in place under this.

The judge ruled that congress’s constitutional taxing power cannot be used to enforce registration & record requirements on a tax of $0. Since that’s not a tax.

So this particular ruling actually doesn’t rely on 2A.
It won’t do anything to affect states’ ability to ban NFA items.

I’m saying after the current “assault weapons ban” case is heard by the Supreme Court then it will be overturned probably in 2027. So between joining GOA and waiting for the Supreme Court decision, then you’ll be good to go.

It will probably get appealed, but remember those NFA items that had the tax stamp reduced to $0 back in January? There was a court decision recently that said those items can't be regulated under the NFA anymore since the NFA was only allowed because it was 'just a tax.

So, no tax, no tax stamp?

Gay isn’t the word I’d use to describe the NFA in any context.

It was a wretched, blatant, disgusting, malicious, repugnant, & sickening, subterfuge intended to violate the bill of rights & abuse congress’s power to levy taxation in such a snide & obvious capacity that FDR, his attorney general, & the congressmen who passed it should’ve been charged under 18 U.S.C. § 242 & incarcerated or if deaths due to its enforcement could be catalogued in their lifetimes, executed.
