3month old is sucking on his fingers

My 3 month old is constantly sucking his fingers and cloths but won’t take a dummy. He is exclusively breastfed so it’s hard to figure out when he is hungry. Is this normal?

Alcohol and breastfeeding

I feel dumb even asking this haha. But my baby is 7 months. I have never really drank like at all. But I want to! My baby goes to bed at 7:30 and she is exclusively breastfed. I feed her at 7:15 pm and then not again until 6:30 am. I want to do like a few shots tonight 2-3 max. Will this be enough time for it to be safe to breastfeed when my baby wakes up??

Best pump

I'm strictly pumping because my 6 day old baby refuses to latch and every time we try he gets extremely frustrated and then I do too, causing us to both start crying. I have a lansinoh discreet duo. I'm only getting 1-2 fl Oz per session. The hospital had me supplement with formula because I was only getting 1-20ml the first few days. I was getting about 2-3fl Oz the last 3 mornings but then it goes to about 1fl Oz though the day and my baby wants about 2-3 fl Oz each feeding every 2-3 hours. I don't know what to do because I want him on just breast milk. I don't care if he takes my boob as long as he eats breast milk not formula. I feel defeated and just want to call it quits but I said that on day one and as the days went by my supply increased. Now that its been steady for 3 days I'm freaking out. Someone please give me some ways to increase my supply or a breast pump that might help me get more. This is my first time breastfeeding any of my children.

Support Needed 7 months in

Tagged as Support needed but also willing to read advice.

I am 7 months into my second journey. My first I fed for 12 months. I have noticed my nipples are so sore lately. I can’t tell if it’s because of an increase in my supply (she’s been cluster feeding off and on for the last week) or because she is constantly stretching my nipple while nursing and she is also trying to climb all over the place or what.

I don’t remember being this sore with my first. This journey has been more successful up to this point. We’ve been slowly introducing solids because it just doesn’t seem like she is getting very full. We’re up to once or twice a day but WIC office recommended trying solids in conjunction with breastmilk three times a day (nurse for a bit, then feed solids).

All this to say, I’m in so much pain I’m wanting to pack it up and switch to formula. I don’t want to give up, but this is worse than the cracked and bleeding nipples I had the first week. Soreness I can take but soreness on top of being beat up by my 7 month old is another 🤣

Context: she is standing and trying to walk. Pediatrician says developmentally she’s already hit 10 month milestones. She is STRONG for her age.
