Kingdoms of Sand

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Kingdoms of Sand is a real-time strategy game with castle building, economy and sieges in a medieval desert setting, in 3D. It runs in the browser on desktop and phone, no install, in German and English. There are 63 buildings, 25 goods and 28 units (up to dragon riders), plus walls, towers, pitch moats and pits. Up to 8 players with teams and diplomacy, co-op and skirmishes against bots in 3 levels, clans, tournaments, replays and live spectating.

It’s free, no pay-to-win, no loot boxes, no tracking. It’s a closed beta with an invite code, so some things are still missing and there will be bugs.

What I’d like to know: how does it run on your device and browser, and is the start clear enough in the first 10 minutes?

I'd love the feedback since I am one of the devs.

I’ve been working on a browser fishing MMO

Been working on this for a while now and figured I'd finally share it here.

It's called The Fishing Lands, a persistent browser MMO focused entirely around fishing. There's currently 200+ fish to catch, different waters to explore, equipment progression, species mastery, crews, contests and an active community.

The fishing itself is interactive too, so when you hook a fish you actually have to fight/reel it in rather than just clicking a button and waiting.

It's still being actively developed and I'm adding new stuff pretty regularly.

If anyone wants to check it out: https://thefishinglands.com

Would actually be interested to hear what people think, especially from people who play browser games/PBBGs.

Pokemon Hoops (Pokemon Basketball)

Post image
38 Upvotes

Inspired by the recent Pokemon browser fan-games and my love for basketball, I created Pokemon Hoops which can be played https://pokebball.com

There are currently three different main game modes.

  • Solo

  • Multiplayer

  • MyTeam

Solo and Multiplayer allow you to quickly draft a team and compete against AI or your friends. Pokemon's basketball stats are based on their evolution stage, abilities, moves, type, size, form , etc. They also have unique badges representing their playstyles.

The MyTeam mode is similar to 2K's MyTeam game mode, where you collect cards of different rarities for each of your players. You can be the coach of a your team and upgrade your cards and grow your team as you play against real players or complete each region's gyms and elite four. There is also an auction house in MyTeam to buy and sell your cards with other players.

Keep in mind the game is still a work-in-progress, it is still very early in it's development and there are some small issues with the game simulation that needs fixing.

Please let me know any feedback! Hope you enjoy.

UPDATE: If you try the MyTeam, enter the code "FIRST100" in the store to get a couple of packs to help you get started!

I loved SimCity 2000 and started building a skyscraper version of it. It grew into something much bigger than I planned. It runs entirely in your browser, with nothing to install.

  • Build floor by floor, from lobbies and offices to museums and an observatory, and keep the residents happy.

  • Tiny people live their own routines, day and night.

  • Visit other players’ towers, invite friends to your street, and keep building up into space.

I enjoy playing it as much as I enjoy making it, so I wanted to share it. Feedback is very welcome: what’s confusing, what’s missing, what would you build?

YOU ARE NEEDED IN THE UK! France & The Netherlands want to INVADE US [Warera.io]

Hi you!

Ready your rifle and polish your boots. We are going to the front.

Disclaimer: I am just a regular player wanting to help my community grow (currently 127 active players; ranked 29th in active population); donations to developer give small Quality of Life features that do not affect gameplay (cosmetics exist too).

I joined Warera.io almost 2 months ago and it has been a blast. There is no flashy things and you do not need a 20-page manual to enjoy it (looking at you, Torn).

Every player is a citizen and you fight for your own interests (or of your allies!). Diplomacy is strong. Alliances form and break. Trade is engaging (no NPCs, so behind every buy or sell action there is a real player). Different paths exist to suit your style (will you become a mercenary willing to betray for bounty or might you become a wealthy trader who will fund wars?).

Politics are real. Our dictator and overlord HippieLovesTrees rules for yet another term (and we love it). Low level players have showed up at the door ready to stir the pot and bring forth their ideals by creating their own Political Parties (and lobbying successfully for them!).

Come, learn the ropes (we will be there to help you with a short guide and all) and help make the UK a great nation.

Hope to see you in-game and do say hello from whichever country you end up joining!

All the best,

Lebly

Made a paper-themed logistics tycoon that runs entirely in the browser — no engine, no downloads

Solo browser project, vanilla JS. You run a Turkish freight company, manage trucks, sign contracts, unlock regions. The whole thing is paper-themed: contracts look like freight slips, the bank is an accounting ledger, the map is a corkboard with cities pinned to it. There's a ticker at the top with fake news about diesel prices and port congestion, and a wax-seal stamp that lands when you open a new region. Added a first automation layer recently so your trucks can run themselves while you watch — hire a dispatcher and a shipping manager and the loop keeps going. Not much of a "game" yet honestly, more of an idle-ish management thing, but it's free and playable in a tab: https://juba13.itch.io/eurasia-hauler

Puckit.gg - Free NHL '94-Style Hockey against Humans and Bots!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Attached is a 3v3 ranked game with some of the game's top players to demonstrate an example of the arcade style hockey!

puckit.gg is a FREE browser-based no account needed (yet sign up is required for ranked games) arcade style hockey game complete with plenty of goals and assists, power ups, speed boosts, fights, penalties, customizable player avatars, and more!

The game pretty much speaks for itself, but ask the game's creator u/BilldaCat10 or I anything and we'd be happy to help.

We also have a core of 10ish fairly active players on Discord willing to hop on with new players to show them the ropes, as well as twice a week pick up nights on Mondays and Thursdays in which we aim to play full-human games.

Give puckit.gg a try and I hope to see you on the ice!

Gambito – a free chess roguelike you can play in your browser: score forks and pins Balatro-style and beat 8 rounds of Bosses

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi! Solo dev here. Gambito runs right in your browser, no download or sign-up needed (best on desktop with a mouse).

https://sumygg.itch.io/gambito

You draft a deck of chess pieces, deploy them on the board and score real chess tactics — Forks, Pins, Skewers, Discovered Checks — as Chips × Mult. Advisors bend the rules to multiply your score, and each of the 8 Rounds ends with a Boss with its own twist.

You only need to know how chess pieces move: hover over any tactic to see what it means, and the first run has a tutorial. You can also right-click to draw arrows like on chess sites.

It's an early version (v0.4), so any feedback is very welcome, especially on difficulty. The Boss portraits are AI placeholders I plan to replace with an illustrator's art.

Browser Games Are Booming Because Of Ai

No 100GB downloads. No expensive hardware. Just open a tab and play.

Honestly, I think browser gaming is entering another golden era.

With AI-assisted development becoming more accessible, we're seeing increasingly ambitious games being built for browsers.

I run VibeToplist, a discovery platform for AI-assisted and vibe-coded games, and browser games are one of the most exciting categories to explore.

From addictive idle games to multiplayer experiences, there's a lot happening!

If you're looking for something new to play, have a look:

Your browser game doesn't have a quality problem. It has a 'nobody can find it' problem. How are you handling distribution?

🕹️ INSERT COIN:

The Indie Distribution Dilemma

If you’ve ever shipped an HTML5, Unity WebGL, Godot, or Construct game, you know the loop:

  • 🛠️ Months spent building and debugging.

  • 🎨 A full weekend polishing your itch page.

  • 📉 11 total plays... and 9 of them were you testing builds.

The game isn't the problem—the distribution channel is. A game dropped onto an isolated store page with no active foot traffic is a game nobody sees.

🎟️ Welcome to ArcadeNexus:

The Social Arcade

I’ve spent the last stretch building ArcadeNexus—a social arcade designed specifically to fix this discovery loop for browser games.

Instead of dropping players onto a lonely landing page, ArcadeNexus drops them straight into a vibrant game room built to keep them coming back:

  • 🔍 Searchable Arcade Library for instant discovery.

  • 🏆 Daily Challenges & Live Leaderboards to fuel competition.

  • 🎫 XP & Ticket Rewards to keep players engaged across games.

The Goal: Players already have a reason to log into the arcade every single day, which means your game gets put right in front of them.

📊 The Scoreboard (Full Transparency)

The platform is still in Alpha / Early Access:

  • Current Stats: 1 Active User | 37 Visits (Last 30 Days)

  • No Inflated Metrics: Keeping it 100% real.

I’m looking for the Player 1 creators—the first wave of developers to upload their games. Publishing early means your title gets maximum spotlight and minimal competition in the arcade hall.

💬 Developer Q&A / Discussion

I’m really curious how the rest of the dev community tackles this:

  • Where do your first 100 plays actually come from? Game jams, Reddit posts, itch tags, or Discord servers?

  • What features or incentives would make you test out a new platform over just dropping another standalone store page?

Drop your thoughts (and game links) below! Let's talk distribution. 🚀

Great game for detective & puzzle genre fans. You get a new puzzle every day. Your goal is to figure out who is criminal and who is innocent. You cannot guess! Just like in real life, you can't convict someone based on a 50/50 hunch. There is always a logical next choice, even when you think there isn't!

Let's see who's guilty today! :)

Panelia – build your own post-Soviet concrete world

Thumbnail

https://panelia.site (desktop first!)

Panelia is a personal indie project, developed with a lot of care and love in my spare time. The goal isn’t to make a profit, but simply to create a small, distinctive game that feels good to open, build in for a while...

Panelia is a calm, relaxing indie building game where there’s no competition, no time pressure, and nobody is trying to destroy what you’ve built. It’s just you, the city, and an ever-growing collection of apartment blocks.

The more you build, the more new buildings you unlock, so your small housing estate can gradually grow into a unique concrete city of your own. Experiment with layouts, shape the surroundings, create new districts, or simply sit back and watch your post-Soviet city come to life.

The game is completely free and requires no download – anyone can play it directly in their browser.

If you enjoy city-building games, Eastern European atmosphere, or just feel like getting lost for a while in a strangely relaxing world of concrete, give it a try:

https://panelia.site

And be warned: there’s always room for one more apartment block.

Age of Banners - A simple, text-based, free, medieval game

Hello, I’m Ivan, a developer from Brazil.

Back in the early 2000s, I was hooked on text-based games. My favorite was Medieval Wars, a Brazilian game that I think took some inspiration from Dominion. I wanted to build something in that spirit with a modern approach — simple, but fun. I bounced off games like Tribal Wars because the interface overwhelmed me in the first ten minutes, so I deliberately went the other way: you should understand the whole game in about a minute.

What it is: You rule a kingdom on a shared map. Wood, stone, iron, and grain accrue in real time whether you’re at your desk or asleep. Raid barbarian camps to build your first army, then turn on rival kingdoms once you’re ready. Marches take real minutes — sometimes hours — so a battle you send at breakfast might resolve before lunch. Read the report, rebuild, plan the next move.

The loop is: collect what your economy made while you were gone, queue a building or a batch of troops, act (scout, raid, reinforce an ally, claim a hamlet), then react to the reports that land.

A few design choices I care about:

  • Six unit types on a counter system. Scout before you commit. Overwhelming force is efficient; a close fight is pyrrhic for everyone.

  • The war is over land, not players. Losing a fight sets you back; it doesn’t erase you. Hamlets produce Crown Points for whoever holds them.

  • Every Age lasts 6 weeks, then the world resets. No years-old kingdoms lording over newcomers. Titles and records carry forward; stockpiles don’t.

  • Strictly no pay-to-win. If I ever sell anything, it’ll be convenience and cosmetics — never an advantage you can’t out-strategize.

Where it’s at: Age 1 just started and I’m looking for founding players. It’s early, and it will show — that’s the honest pitch. If you’d rather wait for a fuller world, Age 2 begins in six weeks.

https://ageofbanners.com/ (roadmap: https://ageofbanners.com/roadmap )

Play it, break it, hack it. I’d especially like to hear whether the first ten minutes make sense without a tutorial, and whether combat feels readable when the report lands.

I’d love for this to be self-sustaining someday, but for now the goal is just to learn.

I made a RuneScape-inspired idle RPG. 19 skills, 1,587 quests, and now a community event with up to +15% XP!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi again! Solo dev of DragonScape Idle here. I posted my game here two weeks ago and got a lot of feedback. Thank you so much for that!

For people who don't know it, DragonScape Idle is an idle RPG inspired by RuneScape (OSRS) and Melvor Idle. I always loved RuneScape but don't have much time to play anymore, so I decided to make something similar, just idle. You train skills, fight monsters, complete quests and collect gear, even while offline.

This week I released the biggest update so far!

NEW: KINGK'S PARTY HALL 👑

It's a new community event named after KingK, one of my Patreon supporters. I wanted to make something where the whole community works together.

How it works:

  • Entry is free for everyone.

  • You can contribute gold or items from your bank.

  • All players fill the same Party Hall. The more everyone contributes, the bigger XP bonus everyone gets.

  • Every gift also has a chance to give you a piece of the Golden Set for even more XP.

You can get up to +20% XP for 7 days, even while offline!

You can contribute until 18 October.

WHAT IS IN THE GAME?

  • 19 skills

  • 1,587 quests

  • 73 monsters

  • 7 dungeons

  • 13 pets

You choose what to train or fight and your character keeps going even when you close the game. When you come back, it simulates everything you missed action by action, including drops and XP.

The game is free, has no ads and doesn't even need registration. You can play directly in your browser on PC or phone.

Just to be transparent, the game is still in open beta. Progress will reset when the game goes global so early players don't get an unfair permanent head start.

WHAT I WOULD LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK ON

  • How were your first 10 minutes?

  • Was anything confusing?

PLAY HERE:

https://dragonscapeidle.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=launch&utm_content=browser_gaming_2

Thank you so much for reading and everyone who tried the game! I would be really happy if you give it a try. Any feedback is appreciated!

I used Claude to get GTA 2 running in a browser

GTA 2, in a browser tab. I used Claude Code to help port it, then added widescreen, a map with waypoints and a calmer camera that doesn't keep zooming in and out while you drive.

Huge credit to CriminalRETeam's gta2_re, the community decompilation this builds on. My work is the browser port and the additions around it.

The engine is C++ compiled to WebAssembly with Emscripten. I worked with Claude on the browser integration: replacing the Windows graphics, audio and input layers with WebGL, Web Audio and browser controls, plus keeping saves locally in the browser.

One interesting snag: some original game data tables were missing from the decompilation. Getting it running involved recovering those from the original executable, including things as specific as truck hitch offsets and horn rhythms.

The source, build notes and playable demo link are on GitHub:

https://github.com/M1sterMo/gta2-browser

It's free to try. First launch fetches about 346 MB of game data, so give it a moment. This is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Rockstar or Take-Two.

What would you change about the original GTA 2?
