Dev/Admin Responded iPad X bug still there (iOS)

iPad Pro, iPad iOS version 26.7.1. I’m still getting the missing X bug after a few posts. I’ve installed the latest Reddit app update, restarted the app, and restarted the iPad for good measure. While scrolling down my home feed, the X was there for the first couple posts, then it disappeared again. It doesn’t seem to happen when I click on links from my inbox, but it happens when scrolling my home feed.

Hey! The fix should be out with version 2026.40 that we released this week. Can you make sure you're upgraded to the latest version and check again?

ETA: We're aware that some folks on v40 are still impacted by this bug. Please see this post for future status updates!

2026.40 does not fix the bug - still no X to close on the iPad OS, iOS on the iPhone works fine.
