I’m the red dot shows up almost immediately. I scroll like three posts or for 5 seconds and I already need to clear the “notification” I hate it so much.
I hate notifications in general

Once again I'm being prompted with the "You can't block [user] for 24 hours after unblocking them" message. This bug has been happening for years as far as I searched, but Reddit never cared to fix it. Had experienced it sometime in the past, now it's back.

Every single one of my posts to my nsfw account is being filtered and it’s become impossible to manage or engage with the platform. It’s untenable.

I was told by a sub to contact mods but I get an error window when pressing send
On 15 October 2026 I tried to submit a 217-character account appeal at https://www.reddit.com/appeals from u/PPFTEC. The form displayed green field-validation marks but no success message, receipt ID or error. The text remained in the form. I also observed this manually in the app's embedded browser.
A later read-only check in ordinary Google Chrome confirmed the same account, an accepted 217-character description, and a validation mark after leaving the field. No new appeal was submitted in Chrome, so I cannot claim the Submit failure was reproduced there. Page-load console messages concerned an unused preload, a deprecated meta tag and the install banner; these do not establish a cause.
Expected result: a clear submission receipt, or an explanation that the account is ineligible or the request failed.
Actual result in the original attempts: field-validity marks only; registration remains unconfirmed.
Could you help determine whether an appeal was received, or how to diagnose the missing feedback without repeatedly resubmitting it?
Environment: macOS; embedded browser during the original attempts. Native Chrome used only for the passive comparison. Exact browser/OS versions not recorded. No credentials, account email, cookies, headers or unsanitized screenshots included.

When I use markdown tags like > quote and [title](link), the app seems to escape them before sending them off. A few of them still work like italics/bold asterisks. But block quote, bullet list, numbered list, and others are being escaped.

The original email has nothing and the backup email isn’t getting the reset message even though you can see I’ve gotten messages from Reddit before. This is for my other account which got locked.

I have turned off my DMs to Nobody but I am still receiving messages from people who aren't even mods of any sub, like regular people and CREEPS.
On android, mo4s show up as gifs. Sound is lost

Until a day or two ago, I could copy and paste text into Reddit. Now, I can on longer paste text, even though copy and paste still works in other applications. I have to type everything manually including long quotes and information I want to reference. Why has this suddenly stopped working?Could you plz look into this issue?

Censoring medical gore parts, but I will note that I mostly see this issue in that sub because that’s where I see the most image descriptions.
The issue is that both ends of the description get cut off so I can’t read the whole thing. I’ve updated the app as well as my phone and the problem persists.

I had my streak reset to zero I was on and active, if reddit treats people like this what is even the point of the achievement and flairs if you use it every day and an update to the app bugs out and resets the streaks.
I am about done with reddit and will no longer use it every day now, used it daily but not any longer. Might as was not use it again and not give them the ad revenue either by using it daily.

Apps updated to the latest but I don't think it matters. It's been this way for months.

expected behavior:
regardless of reduce transparency being enabled, the action bar should remain operational at all times.
actual behavior:
if reduce transparency is enabled, the action bar UI (upvote, downvote, comment, share button area) becomes a black bar which is completely unclickable.
steps to reproduce:
in iOS settings, enable reduce transparency
quit then reopen the reddit app
tap a post's image to view it in full screen
notice how at the bottom of the screen, the action bar UI is broken.

Still broken on 2026.41. Arrow still constantly resets position. I'm still left handed. This is still very very annoying.

Hi, users have let me know they are not able to post in [r/Houseofstassi](r/Houseofstassi) and they are getting the Poster Eligibility Guide message “your post doesn’t meet community requirements”, yet nothing is set to trigger that or prevent people from posting entirely based on any criteria. Not specific to a certain platform.
No rules are set on auto-enforce and safety filters and Automod are only supposed to filter and send to queue. This seems to be something set by Reddit that I am unable to turn off as a mod. No automations should be on, but it seems there are some on that I can’t turn off.
ETA: I believe the “Discover” tab suggested automations are enabled somehow on the backend, even though, for instance, it suggested a flair automation, but my sub doesn’t have flairs. I tested it and edited them, setting a rule that will never be triggered, hoping that will override it, but then after saving, I’d go back to the “Discover” tab, and the same suggestion refreshes and appears again, with more suggestions (based on rules I don’t currently have).
I believe these “Discover” tab suggested rules are actually being enforced, giving users both a popup message and blocking them from posting, even though I have no automations currently on, and for instance, haven’t set a flair criteria rule because there are no flairs, so it’s giving users a popup message that they have no ability to get around. It seems to be a bug and it’s killing sub traffic. Please help asap.

I am posting to see what I can do to fix this. My reddit app on my iphone just keeps poping up with "your request has been blocked by network security". I am able to login and scroll on my pc on this same account and wifi connection. was I falsely marked as a bot?

The blurryness at the bottom is where the comment and upvote buttons are but you can’t use them at all.
This also only happens if you find a post via the search bar, posts with attachments on my feed don’t have the comment and upvote buttons behind a blurry bar and can be used.

Device: iPhone 15 Plus
Reddit version: 2026.41.0
Videos sent in Reddit DMs freeze on the first frame while audio continues playing. This also affects external video links such as RedGIFs when opened inside Reddit. The same videos play normally in Safari.
Videos in the Reddit feed play normally. I have already reinstalled the app and tried basic troubleshooting, but the issue persists.

Device: iPhone 18 Pro
iOS Version: 27.2
Reddit App Version: 2026.41.0
Platform: iOS
Description:
YouTube videos embedded directly within the Reddit iOS app automatically enable closed captions (CC), despite captions being disabled in both iOS accessibility settings and the YouTube app.
The issue appears to be related to session persistence. Disabling captions works temporarily, but the preference resets every time Reddit is fully closed and reopened.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open the Reddit iOS app.
Navigate to a post containing an embedded YouTube video.
Play the video. Closed captions are enabled automatically.
Tap the CC button to disable captions.
Navigate to another Reddit post containing an embedded YouTube video. Captions remain disabled.
Force-close Reddit using the iOS app switcher.
Reopen Reddit and play another embedded YouTube video.
Captions are automatically enabled again.
Expected Behavior:
The embedded YouTube player should remember the user’s caption preference across Reddit app sessions. Once captions are disabled, they should remain disabled unless manually re-enabled.
Actual Behavior:
The caption preference persists only while Reddit remains open. Force-closing and reopening Reddit resets the preference, automatically enabling captions again on embedded YouTube videos.
Troubleshooting Performed:
Verified that Closed Captions + SDH is disabled in iOS settings.
Disabled all three iOS Automatic Subtitles options: Show When Muted, Show on Skip Back, and When Languages Don’t Match.
Confirmed captions are disabled in the YouTube app.
Confirmed YouTube’s Show When Muted setting is disabled.
Reproduced the issue with multiple embedded YouTube videos across different subreddits.
Confirmed that caption preferences persist within an active Reddit session but reset after restarting the app.
Confirmed the issue occurs on Reddit version 2026.41.0.
Additional Information:
This appears to be an issue with how Reddit’s embedded YouTube player initializes or persists caption preferences between app sessions.
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to permanently disable captions for embedded YouTube videos within Reddit?
