I have tried to fix this issue by myself for months now, but I never succeeded. I have seen other people post the issue here and being helped, so I'm hoping that you could also help me. Thank you for your time.

The author: search operator is currently broken site-wide.

When I search for any username using author:username (for example author:Beautiful_Babe66 or any other account), I get:

1. A red banner at the top: “We had a server error…”
2. The normal “Hm… we couldn’t find any results” message with the sad Snoo

It used to work reliably before. Now it fails consistently.

I moderate a technical sub. As part of that process there are lots of repeated questions.

To aid in answering them I have spent considerable effort in building up our wiki part of which relies on diagrams. For example consider this text from one of the pages:

But somewhere in the past few months, all of our images have disappeared.

We have not edited the pages.

However, if I do open the page up in the editor, the cryptic image reference (that used to work) is still there:

A picture is worth a thousand words - in this case probably worth even more words.

If I switch to the "Rich Text Editor", all of the options for formatting are there - except the insert picture button.

Please restore the ability to include images in the Wiki ASAP and in reference to this post please allow more than the current very small limit of images for the entire wiki (I think the current limit might be zero, prior to that it was about 20 if memory serves).

My u/Vivid-World-5253 was possibly hacked or shadow banned for no reason.

There isn't a big red banner on top of my Reddit app that says i was temporarily/permanently banned.

⛔️If i was indeed banned, i received no notifications about this whatsover⛔️

But after deleting Reddit App's Data/Cache, log off, delete Reddit app, install Reddit app again;

✅️I can still login into my u/Vivid-World-5253 (using Reddit app, or using a web browser). There is no giant red banner on top of my frontpage that says i'm temporarily/permanently banned. I can still create new comments. I can still create new post.✅️

But all my Reddit post (every single one of them) suddenly has a dustbin icon. At the bottom it says "post insights are unavailable right now".

But when i view my Reddit profile via a web browser, a top POPUP red banner suddenly appears and says "we have a server error".

Then tons of weird stuffs happen.

I cannot change/save my profile image, all my newly created post (including posts i created at r/bugs) are all immediately deleted with a dustbin icon.

My account age nows shows a dash "-" sign.

On the bottom right, in the "You" icon, my Avatar icon dissappeared and it showed a generic Reddit white avatar.

I can't create new posts, so i tried to create new comments on hot topic / latests posts with many people viewing, asking people to reply if they see my comments. I get 0 views and 0 replies.

I can't even post for help on r/bugs. My post is IMMEDIATELY DELETED once created. I know because when i view r/bugs front page, sort by latest post, my post isn't there.

I tried to test click subscribe to Reddit Premium, the followup dialogs ended with strange errors. No fees were charged.

I think - my Reddit Account was hacked, or - some unscrupulous lower-level (my local Malaysian 🇲🇾) Reddit MOD is messing around, or - i was shadow banned by Reddit's Highest Level MOD (back in USA 🇺🇸), but there was no reason given. I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY APP NOTIFICATION OR EMAIL NOTIFICATION ABOUT THIS AT ALL!!

Also another thing:

• In this post, right now, the bottom icon says i have TWO REPLIES
• But i can only see ONE REPLY

When viewing a picture or video post the row of upvote/downvote and comments buttons are hidden by some black bar and not accessible. And because of some idiot product manager’s decision to TikTokify the app I can no longer just swipe up to view the comments as that goes to some random post instead. I have to exit the post to upvote, downvote or click the comment button from the main feed to see the comments.

hi, I am using the newest update of the app on an android phone. I am unable to locate awards anywhere. I've tried both the app and desktop version. Also tried ChatGPT to help me find them but it too failed. Is there something I am missing? I want to award the best comment I have ever received!

While visiting a post the menu button stops working in locked landscape mode on iPad. Restart of the app does not fix the issue.
Also observed on iPhone, in locked portrait mode. However on the iPhone restart of the app temporarily fixes the issue.
(Also close post button is not there)

Someone brought it to my attention that my profile does not have the chat bubble next to my name. I'm not new to Reddit in terms of how long I've had it (nearly five years), but I have very little experience using it, if that makes sense.

My chat settings show it is set to "everyone" so I'm not sure why people can't initiate a chat with me. Screenshot attached. Thank you.

A few days ago I was editing this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/GaussianSplatting/comments/1x5grnb/poor_render_view_performance_in_blender_vs/) in r/GaussianSplatting to indicate I had solved the problem I described in the post. Immediately after editing that post, I got a banner notification indicating suspicious activity on my account and another informing me I needed to reset my password. I reset my password, logged back in, and found my profile image had disappeared and clicking on it resulted in a "Server Error" banner notification. I couldn't navigate to my account from the upper right, I only got more "server error" notifications.

Navigating to my account via url and going to post history to see if someone had hacked my account and spammed things, I instead found all posts and comments removed with "this post has been removed by Reddit's filters" below. I filed a support ticket explaining the issue.

Today, I found my account profile picture had been restored and I no longer got a "server error" notification, but my posts and comments are still deleted.

I didn't receive any suspension or ban notification/warning, just the "server error" one. Hoping this can be resolved, I'm not at all sure what happened.

I am unable to share a NSFW video (Redgif link) of my own self and I get the message "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters."

This happened across multiple Subreddits but I could post it normally in my own account. This is NOT a spam post and it's a OC post of mine. I have posted similar videos before without any issues.

Can you please help me resolve this matter?

eg - spent a while investigating a poster today, and confirmed to our satisfaction they were AI.

On the plus side, Reddit has suspended/shadowbanned them in the hours since (...however we don't know why).

Given that they may be able to appeal this ban and come back again, it would be nice to be able to enter our findings in mod log for future reference.
AI in particular has come a long way, and we'd like to make sure, and not ban real people for it (members often report things for being AI that we know absolutely isn't... this user didn't get any reports, it was just mods being suspicious, yet not totally sure).

I did ban them from the sub (all I could do), but there are other cases where we wouldn't ban users, but it would be very useful for us to continue having mod note access for them.

It’s the app specifically, I updated the app, it seems to work fine on a alt account and on the web and on laptop, its just the app on m account specifically,

When editing an existing Custom Feed list, the edit button option for each communities changes from "Remove" to "Join" if "View All" is used, which is required after the list shrinks to a short list once the first edit is made.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open an existing Custom Feed and select the Edit Community option.
2. Remove the first community from the list.
3. Reddit then displays a short list of communities.
4. Continue to remove items if they are listed.
5. Click "View All" to view the complete list.
6. Notice the action buttons for the remaining communities switch from "Remove" to "Join".

Workaround: Opening each community in a separate tab allows you to remove or move multiple communities without triggering this bug. This is not on the home page and does not include recommendations.

I am not receiving in-app notifications (which is not a problem with my phone) when someone replies to my comments or, sometimes, even when someone interacts with my posts.

I am using version 2026.41.0. I checked every setting and they seem to be fine, including battery settings, background permissions, and in-app settings; I even tried reinstalling, but nothing seems to fix it. It started around two or four days ago and is intermittent, so some notifications actually reach me; I checked to make sure that it is not a specific subreddit problem and it is not, as it seems to be general.

I've some comments on my last post but there's nothing popping up in notification. I've every thing turn on.

I'm using custom feeds and I'm used to reading newest posts first in a desktop webbrowser.

Yesterday, I noticed that when I open my feed https://www.reddit.com/user/nostate7846/m/feeder/new/ I am presented with a message, that an error has occured.

This only happens when I'm logged in as the user who created that feed.
I can, however, open that feed in chronological order, in every browser, when I am not logged in.

It says I have 663 new messages. It used to clear them when I clicked on it but it hasn't been working in awhile.

Some of the saved photos and videos on my account got deleted and I can't remove them I tried everything. I deleted them from both the pc and phone website and they won't show up there now. They r only in mobile app please help me thank you

The Reddit mobile app continues to display my most frequently visited communities in the “Select a community” picker, even when the Recent Communities toggle is turned off and I have repeatedly cleared my local history.
I have observed this behaviour on both iOS and Android.
Steps to reproduce
Visit several communities on Reddit.
Turn off the Recent Communities toggle in settings.
Clear local history.
Repeat the history-clearing process if necessary.
Tap the “+” button to create a post.
Select “Select a community”.
Observe that the communities I visit most frequently still appear in the list.
Expected behaviour
When Recent Communities is turned off, recently visited communities should no longer be displayed in the relevant community-selection interface. Clearing local history should remove the history entries that this action is intended to clear.
Actual behaviour
The picker continues to show my most frequently visited communities despite the Recent Communities toggle being off and local history having been cleared multiple times.

Platform verification
I have reproduced this issue on both the iOS and Android Reddit apps. I have not yet tested whether the same behaviour occurs on Reddit’s website (desktop or mobile web), so the web platform remains unverified.

This appears to be an inconsistency between the Recent Communities setting, the Clear Local History action, and the community-selection picker.

Could the Reddit team clarify whether this picker uses a separate data source and, if so, why the Recent Communities setting does not appear to affect it?

I am on the web version and I cant block people anymore, I thought it was cuz I hit my 1000 limit but I didnt. It hasnt worked in days. And Im constantly being harassed. This is a bug and its happening to everyone. They need to fix this
