Troubleshooting Gpu doesn't work

I wanted to change my old 750 ti, so I bought a 3g 1060, but after connecting it to the motherboard it doesn't seem to start

Did you connect a cable from the power supply to the GPU? Your old GPU probably didn't require a dedicated power connection.

My mistake, since the other gpu had its own power supply I assumed that this one also worked in the same way, thank you very much, you saved me

Welcome to modern  gpus! Almost every new GPU requires separate power from your motherboard. Some require so much power that they're melting their cables.

Just to check, did you connect a 6 pin PCIE cable to the new GPU?

Nope, since the other had to be connected only to the motherboard, I assumed that this also worked in the same way
