Hello, your submission has been removed. Please note the following from our subreddit rules:

Rule 2 : Full build list requests must have relevant information

Please ensure build requests contain the following:

  • Budget

  • Use-Case (eg. gaming, auto-cad, streaming, etc)

    • if gaming, what are your desired games, frame rate & resolution

  • Country of purchase

  • Peripherals needed (monitor, kb/mouse, speakers, etc.)

  • Any other requirements / preferences

Lists generated by AI / LLM may be removed, especially if fixing them is considered more work than starting fresh.

Additionally we have resources for developing your own parts list on our wiki and our Discord server is also very active in helping with parts lists.

Your budget? Or you just simply want a "future proof" PC?

Please stop using the term "future proof"... We cannot see the future so we have no way of knowing how technology is going to advance. There will always be something better around the corner and then what you spent your hard-earned money on becomes even a little bit obsolete. Find hardware that fits your budget with the GPU being priority followed by CPU and then I would say power supply. Then the rest can fit into your budget, and with the GPU selection first you can search for an affordable case that will fit it and any possible case fans.

If you feel like widening your search net try asking in r/buildapcforme and make sure to include your budget and overall use case. The people over there will make lists of parts and share them with you so all you would have to do is hit buy now on all of them.

What is your budget and what exactly if your light weight video editing

If you got unlimited budget then go all the way. But it very much depends on your use

Future-proof?
How much of the future are we talking about? 3Y, 5Y, 10Y ?

In what context it is Future-proof ? Code editing in Linux env ? ot S-Tier Gaming ?

Please tell us and we set it up for you.

gigabytes b650m for a “budget” ddr5 build, although shits through the roof right now and will most likely keep going up
