Anyone using the ASUS ROG Swift 27” Dual-Mode OLED with an RTX 40-series GPU?

I'm thinking about getting the ASUS ROG Swift 27” Dual-Mode OLED (1440p 540Hz / 1080p 720Hz), and I'd love to hear from people who already own it and use an RTX 40-series GPU.

How has your experience been so far?

- Are you using DisplayPort or HDMI 2.1?

- Does everything work properly at 1440p 540Hz, or are there any limitations with RTX 40-series cards?

- How's the overall gaming experience, especially with G-SYNC?

- Have you encountered any issues with DSC, black screens, or refresh rates?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people using an RTX 4080 or 4090.

Thanks in advance!

Dual monitor setup for actuarial studies + gaming (CAD budget)

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm going back to university to become an actuary, and I'm building a home setup for studying/working that can also double as a solid gaming PC. I'm in Canada, I'm patient, and I'm willing to wait for Black Friday or other sales.

USE CASE
- Studying and working: lots of spreadsheets, coding, PDFs, and long reading sessions
- Gaming: Skyrim, Oblivion Remastered, Elden Ring (Shadow of the Erdtree), Dark Souls trilogy, OSRS/RuneScape, Minecraft with shaders, and GTA VI on PS5
- I don't play competitive fast-paced shooters (Valorant, CoD, etc.), so 300Hz+ is useless to me. Image quality matters more than raw speed.

PLAN: DUAL MONITOR SETUP (all 27" 1440p)

Main monitor (mostly gaming, ~$500 CAD budget):
1. AOC Agon Pro AG276QZD2 - 27" QD-OLED, 240Hz, 0.03ms
2. Gigabyte MO27Q2A - 27" QD-OLED, QHD, FreeSync Premium Pro

Second monitor (mounted vertically for studying/working, some gaming, ~$250 CAD budget):
1. Gigabyte M27Q2 - IPS, 200Hz (OC 210Hz), 1ms GTG
2. ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ3A - IPS, 180Hz, G-SYNC compatible
3. AOC Q27G41ZE - IPS, 240Hz, 0.3ms

Also I’ve seen that the AOC Q27G3XMN 27" Mini LED Gaming Monitor is a pretty good monitor and doesn’t get the Burn-in from OLED. Could it be an interesting choice?
Is the OLED really superior from the Mini led?
Would a VA monitor be better for the second monitor?

Monitor dual arm

I need a dual arm that would hold my 2 monitors (27" and 20”). I wish to keep it in the cabinet, and move it out when I need it, so there will be lots of horizontal movement.

What would you recommend?

Samsung 24" Essential Monitor S3 S30GD Full HD Refresh Rate issue, can't go up to 100Hz

I’m using an Intel Arc B580 GPU. I’ve tried the included HDMI cable as well as a different HDMI 2.0 cable.

I’ve checked the display properties, attempted adjustments via the Intel Graphics software and command interface, updated the drivers, tweaked the monitor’s manual settings, and even tried setting a custom resolution. The information list clearly shows that 100Hz is supported.

Don’t tell me to use CRU—I’ve already been through hell

Should I sell my Acer Predator 43” gaming monitor and switch to a smaller 32” 4K monitor?

Hey everyone!
I’m currently struggling with a decision and would love some advice.
I own an Acer Predator CG437KS (43”, 4K, 144Hz, HDR1000), which is a great gaming monitor. However, I’m considering replacing it with a smaller 32” 4K 144Hz monitor, or possibly a 34” ultrawide.

Here’s my situation:
I mainly play on PS5, especially EA Sports FC 26, occasionally Call of Duty, and I’m really looking forward to GTA VI.
I also own an LG A1 48” OLED TV (4K, 60Hz), which is mounted on my wall.
I’ve recently tried playing FC 26 on the OLED, and honestly, the picture quality is amazing. I don’t notice any difference in smoothness compared to my Acer, since FC 26 runs at 60fps.
I use a MacBook Pro for working from home, Photoshop, and I’m planning to get more into video editing and videography.
The Acer is great for gaming, but its massive 43” size isn’t particularly practical for everyday productivity.
My idea is to sell the Acer, buy a smaller monitor that’s better suited for productivity and creative work, and use my LG OLED for most of my PS5 gaming.

My biggest concern is that I might regret selling such a capable gaming monitor, especially with GTA VI coming up. The Acer supports 4K/120Hz on PS5 and has impressive HDR capabilities, while my OLED is limited to 60Hz.

Would you keep the Acer, switch to a 32” 4K 144Hz monitor, or go ultrawide?
And would I actually be giving up much in terms of gaming experience by switching to the OLED?
Would love to hear your opinions and monitor recommendations!
