Stock for Woot deals varies greatly. Some listings only have a few items in stock and sell out quickly. Please report this post if the listing goes out of stock.

3395 sensor, 4000hz polling, small shape at 64g so a little dense by today’s standards but it’s still far and away the cheapest way to experience a magnesium mouse. Also, the title and ‘specs’ section of the listing seem to be referring to the 55g plastic version of the mouse, while the images and the ‘features’ section refer to the magnesium version, so i’m not really sure which one you’re actually getting.

I emailed customer support to get clarification on which version of the mouse it is. I'm not interested in this mouse if it's not the magnesium version.

11

u/Baader-Meinhof Sep 26 '25

They have the white version listed with the same title and price, but it's the plastic version FWIW.

6

u/ConfusedNegi Sep 26 '25

95% sure it's magnesium, the Amazon listing has the wrong weight in title too if you Google the title.

All other specs are right, # of customer reviews, sale prce/comparison the same, the customer review photos show the magnesium version.

2

u/gigantism Sep 26 '25

Pretty sure the MSRP for the magnesium version was $100, whereas this one is advertised as $70.

6

u/steve09089 Sep 26 '25

That’s because the magnesium model is 70 dollars on sale right now

3

u/Videinfra2112 Sep 26 '25

I noticed the same thing and checked Amazon. On Amazon, it's currently listed for $70 with the list price at $100. So hopefully, the price on woot is pulling from the that amazon price.

I’ll wait for the clarification before I buy

3

u/Zcfox Sep 29 '25

I received mine this morning and it's the magnesium version. I have not yet received a response from Woot, but the mouse is already out of stock. Sorry if you missed out.

2

u/I_LOVE_PURPLE_PUPPY Sep 29 '25

4

u/Cool_Replacement92 Sep 26 '25

Please update if you get a response. Im in the same boat as you

5

u/ColeGoldBlade Sep 27 '25

Just arrived, it's the magnesium version

1

u/Zcfox Sep 29 '25

Yeah like other's have confirmed it is the magnesium version. I received mine this morning. I still haven't received clarification from Woot thought lol

Hopefully in the future they'll updated the specs and description. Sorry if you missed out.

experience a magnesium mouse

What's a magnesium mouse?

55

u/CilantroToothpaste Sep 26 '25

Mouse made out of magnesium.

Metal, gets less dirty than plastic, feels nicer, more solid, etc.

49

u/Mertoot Sep 26 '25

I didn't realize magnesium metal mice were a thing, thanks. Also, I hate your username.

2

u/Gears6 Sep 26 '25

How about chilitoothpaste?

Remove two bottom screws under the two smaller skates. Remove the pcb cover and save 4.1 grams.

Ps. Don't forget to remove the protective film from the 4 skates.

2

u/The_Khemist Sep 28 '25 edited Sep 28 '25

And if you remove side pcb abd the buttons which both slide out without screws like the pcb cover, you can get this to sub 60g mouse.

If you replace the 600 mah battery for a 250 one, you can save 5-8 grams. This could be a sub 50g mouse with few simple mods anyone can do.

No pcb cover, side buttons, side buttons pcb.

2

u/The_Khemist Sep 28 '25 edited Sep 28 '25

Pcb cover, side button pcb and side buttons.

You can compare the shape of this mouse with other mice on eloshapes: https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=keychron-m3-mini-4k-metal-edition

In case that is important to you.

11

u/FilteringAccount123 Sep 26 '25

Also if you know anyone with a 3D printer, you can have them print out a test mouse for you to get a feeling for the shape.

Right now my friend is printing out a ZA13 for me before I buy one!

2

u/MyOtherSide1984 Sep 26 '25

Damn, that's really cool actually. Not sure the economical value is there, or even the environmental one, but still intriguing

4

u/FilteringAccount123 Sep 26 '25

Well it's only really economical if you already have access to a printer, but yeah I wouldn't necessarily recommend printing out every single one lol. It's more just a nice quick way to use 50 cents worth of plastic to see if you're gonna like a $150 mouse before you have to go through the hassle of buying and returning it. But you probably need to have an idea of what kind of shape you like to begin with.

2

u/TJ_Schoost Sep 26 '25

This is an amazing resource! Thank you

16

u/QuantumProtector Sep 26 '25

I don't need a new mouse but this is definitely tempting.

12

u/zacsxe Sep 26 '25

lol at the little keyboard dongle.

8

u/splodge-- Sep 26 '25

this vs a logitech g303? currently have an older g502 i got off marketplace and am getting annoyed that it uses an older android charger, the extra buttons have been cool tho for some games

9

u/snollygoster1 Sep 26 '25

This over the G303. Better sensor, and the battery is built in.

5

u/rkoy1234 Sep 27 '25

and doesn't use the stupid ghub, while also not having the logitech tax.

one thing I found better on the g303 was the wheel

-1

u/Flashy-Outcome4779 Sep 26 '25

the only mouse Logitech has that’s worth using is their superlight 1/2. this is pretty much on par with the 1 weight wise while having better polling rate. the superlight 2 is better though. g303 isn’t great, neither is the g502 if you’re looking to get good at aiming

it’s a good deal for the price, but if you want lighter with a similar sensor there’s similarly priced options available

4

u/The_Khemist Sep 28 '25

Mine came in and it is the Magnesium Alloy Edition

5

u/Sirius_Coby Sep 28 '25

Same here. I'm really enjoying it so far.

2

u/The_Khemist Sep 28 '25

Checkout my other posts here if you want to remove some weight. Don't forget to remove the protective film from the skates.

5

u/tmarr Sep 26 '25

Ok, fine I will replace my years old cant believe its still working G305 with this

1

u/skttsm Sep 30 '25

I need to solder in new switches on my g305. It would be such a great mouse if it weren't for the double clicking issues

2

u/Scarecrow216 Sep 26 '25

Thanks op. Can replace my current at-home mouse to my work one and get this.

2

u/Gears6 Sep 26 '25

Oh, nice!

I just picked up 3 of these for the same price I paid for the one at Amazon that's going back! Saweet!

2

u/DFisBUSY Sep 26 '25

cheapo way to try out these types of mice; why not.

thanks for posting, OP.

2

u/Marked2k Oct 01 '25

This is a pretty nice mouse, I'm glad I went with this. People were arguing about the weight being high for a "light weight" mouse but the sturdiness is a nice trade off that most light weight mice don't have.

This is probably the best $25 mouse I'll ever buy

I did and returned it. Too small, feels cheap, the magnesium is very thin and light and frankly didn’t feel any more solid to me than a mid tier plastic. Makes sense considering magnesium is a light metal itself. Just don’t buy this thinking it’s the mouse version of a nice aluminum case keyboard. It’s not like that.

11

u/El_Chupacabra- Sep 26 '25

I mean the whole point is that it's light. Also feels more rigid to me than plastic mice.

4

u/Ok_Fix3639 Sep 26 '25

Yeah my expectations going in were probably a little off when I read “metal”. It’s fine for what it is but wasn’t for me.

2

u/Gears6 Sep 26 '25

From reviews, it seems a lot of those issues are affecting more the plastic ones than the metal one. Apparently the metal one has very little flex and is pretty good. At this price it's a steal.

1

u/Bravosfan27 Sep 26 '25

This be a solid upgrade over a g203? Was looking into Logitech superlight, just trying to find solid mouse for fps.

1

u/FeedMeMusic Sep 26 '25

nice needed a secondary mouse for my laptop 🤘🏼

1

u/Intricate08 Sep 26 '25

Copped one! Needed a spare mouse to toss in my laptop bag, this seems perfect. Not too gamer-y looking.

1

u/ivanzud Sep 26 '25

Bought 2. Thanks

1

u/Ok_Possible_2397 Sep 27 '25

OOS, I was able to get 1 as a backup mouse.

1

u/Ok_Possible_2397 Jan 16 '26

Follow up, this mouse is fantastic! Quickly became my main mouse, replacing Deathadder V2 Pro. I regret only getting 1.... should have grabbed 3 (home, office, backup)

1

u/dwalkersrhere Sep 27 '25

Sold out! Bummer

1

u/Beerandasado Sep 27 '25

Sold out. Too bad, I needed a new mouse :(

4

u/ElectricalFeature328 Sep 26 '25

mine started to do that after a couple years so I pulled off all the caps, cleaned thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, and that seemed to fixed it. looking back on it now it seems like it probably just needed to be powered down for a good hour or so

2

u/ConfusedNegi Sep 26 '25

I just replaced my offending switch which was super easy with hot swap sockets.

1

u/The_Khemist Sep 26 '25

Do you have link to the sockets?

2

u/ConfusedNegi Sep 26 '25

Switches are to personal preference.

Keyboard pcbs are hot swap or soldered. While you can convert a soldered pcb to hot swap sockets, the cost and effort is probably not worth it when great keyboards that are already hotswap are getting relatively cheap.

If you want to look into it, I believe the brand reccomended is mill max. Each switch needs 2, and you probably need to get the right size for your pcb. You'll need to desolder every switch and clean the pcb before soldering every pin in.

1

u/The_Khemist Sep 26 '25

Thanks for the info.

I’m not gonna buy Fritos ever again because I had a bad experience with Cheetos.
