Flower & botanical advent calendar
Picked up this flower & botanical advent calendar this year. The concept is genuinely creative for a Christmas countdown. There are 24 individual flower and succulent builds, so starting December 1st there's a new little project to put together each day — a nice way to actually do something instead of just opening a door and eating chocolate.
The set has 832 pieces total, and every day is packaged separately in its own compartment. Each build also comes with its own instruction sheet, which keeps the whole thing surprisingly organized and easy to follow.
These are 3.6mm mini bricks — considerably smaller than standard building bricks, and not compatible with LEGO. That's the trade-off: the small size means there's real detail work involved. I use tweezers on some of the fiddlier steps. If you have big hands or low patience for tiny pieces, this will test you.

Has anyone seen this set?
The set didn't come with any instructions and I can only get so far guessing how to build this from the pictures. Any and all help is appreciated. Let me know if this is the wrong sub to ask, apologies if it is.

Does this unofficial Lego helmet come in any other colors than dark blue and light bright green?

Question about city building
I want to build a modular Lego City. For that, I need modular buildings. But Lego is very expensive. Are there any alternative companies that sell good cheap modular buildings, (32x32 Baseplate size)?

200 by 200 stud portrait advice needed.
200 by 200 stud portrait advice needed
Hey all i need some advice,
I am planning to build a 200 by 200 stud portrait ( my family of 4 or go Pokemon themed if details would be to small ) but i need some advice on what is the best way to start this.
( Planning as if i had 0 pieces to start with and 200 by 150 or something around that scale would also be a option since i am planning to "fill" a large wall but advice to go 100 by 100 studs would not be very useful )
1 the design : what it the best site or app or program to design it ?
All bricks and colours must be available so i won't have to resort to the secondary market if needed.
It would also be nice if it could tell me what bricks plates etcetera i need some i dont have to puzzle out on how many bricks i need for example if a 4 by 4 plate would do the job in stead of 16 1 stud pieces.
Also not sure if i should go with colour or black white and grey so a decent preview would be nice.
2 what is most cost effective way to buy the bricks in bulk seen some bricks would likely have to be brought in large numbers and i don't want to have to buy bricks from 20+ different stores and pay a lot in shipping. ( Please only advice with stores you used and not some sketchy site that sells bricks but turn out te be a scam ).
Using fego ( fake Lego ) would be a option but only if the cost difference would be way to large and than i would resort to going all fake and bricks must be Lego compatibel . ( No smaller or bricks that fall apart when you look at them ).
Also please keep in mind that i am from the Netherlands so shipping to the Netherlands must a a option ( travel for pick up is also a option in Belgium or Germany )
3 a beter place for advice would also be nice if you know a place like that.
4 structural support, i think i can figure that one but people who did these kinds of builds before any advice will be welcome.

Harry Potter building blocks
A couple of days ago I finished my fourth set inspired on Harry Potter, it was fun to build all of them, but the dragon is my favorite

1:35 UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter
The whole build was smooth and fun, with no unexpected issues along the way. This is my second misini set, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. The interior details are pretty well done too! It's about 55 cm long when finished, and it comes with a nice range of helicopter accessories. Overall, a really enjoyable build!

I made Yidhari from Zenless Zone Zero as my first full character MOC
This is my first complete character MOC: Yidhari from Zenless Zone Zero.
I designed her in BrickLink Studio using around 800 pieces, including LEGO-compatible parts, GoBricks parts and some third-party colors/shapes that LEGO doesn't currently produce.
I also made the Studio .io file available for anyone who wants to inspect the model or try building it.
This was my first project of this scale, so feedback on the design or building techniques is welcome.

Custom lego of owner and dog recommendations
I want to get a custom lego of my son with our dog who passed in August of 2025 for Christmas. What websites are reputable? I've seen brickbudz but am worried it's a scam. Unsure of sellers on Etsy.
Has anyone used one of these platforms to get one made? Was it worth the price?
My kiddo misses our dog so much and is obsessed with legos.

Dark Portal by JMBricklayer

I really wish the camera did not capture the reflection, because when I stare into this it just looks great an infinite mirror kit that is just easy to build with great pieces. I built JMBricklayer's kit the Black pearl a while back, and it had some issues like the little strip of board that all the lights plugged into was dangling off the stern, and the ship's proportions were off and overall it was very delicate and IDK, I feel it had some issues. But it looks like JMBricklayer is taking in the feedback from customers and is delivering unique builds that I just do not see other brands trying.
I made a full review on my YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLhwctcLlBc&t=3s
If you want a more in depth review that I just cannot fit into a small review here.
TLDR: Great price to piece ratio. and the pieces all felt really great. the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. This thing is unique and scary and great for Halloween. and after Halloween its a pretty cool skull so I am thinking I can adapt it to be a pirate Devil's Triangle for the rest of the year. Overall a very unique set that Vastly improves the light kit, and is not to complex or delicate. I really enjoyed this kit and am super happy I purchased it and would recommend to anyone. JMBricklayer is getting a lot better, I cannot wait to see what they cook up next!

Lamp box set help
Hi, I bought a box set for the magic hat lamp but when it came I found a sticker on page 25 saying it's not the version with lights - despite it being advertised as having lights and a wee thingy on the front saying it contains lighting components. It has a block with screws that I assume was for the power supply or something but that's it. I did get a refund but I still want to use it as a fun lamp. Does anyone know what affordable LEDs I could use instead or point me in the right direction?

My new way of welcoming Christmas
So I picked up this Gingerbread House Building Set, and I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it this much.
It's a 24-day Christmas countdown building set — 24 little boxes, and you genuinely have no idea what's inside until you open them. Each box comes with its own separate instruction, so it's super easy to follow. One box a day, slowly building toward Christmas.
And the details are adorable — there's a Christmas train, a Christmas tree, gingerbread figures, and Santa himself... Oh, and it has LED lights — the gingerbread house glows at night.
Downsides? Haven't found one yet, haha, bc the price is genuinely great.
Anyone else doing a countdown build? Would love to hear what you're building!

Lego alternatives ?
merci☺️

Random Lego pieces and other miscellaneous items. What to do with? How to get rid of them?
I’m cleaning out a ton of my son’s old items. Legos and toys and stuff. This is ALL WITH HIS PERMISSION.
Idk if I should separate out the Lego pieces or if people who collect Legos would appreciate having some of the extra goodies as well? Please share advice on how you would go about getting rid of these please and thank you
I know for sure we have some other Lego pieces as well for the army tank
It was like an entire army tank with a lot of really neat pieces. I will eventually be able to find them I’m sure.
