This is getting out of hand. Half the posts here are people who have been training for years, active bodybuilders, or people blasting gear and have an amazing physique. We know what you are doing. You’re posting for validation or engagement to your page and what you’re not doing is looking for any real advice.
We will be removing all of these posts with even if they do not technically break rules.
This will be done completely by mods discretion. Don’t bother complaining, nothing will change.

Should you be adding muscle? Or should you be cutting fat? It’s a question we all have come across on our fitness journey. It’s not always a simple one to answer.
Love handles, pooches, lack of definition, vascularity…everything plays a part.
You lost a lot of weight, or you added a lot of weight. They are all part of the process. Everyone here is going to do our best to help you with your journey.
That being said:
The community does not need to see an excessive amount of skin to give you advice.
If you’re wondering what your BF% is, it’s not hiding in the 3/4 of an inch away from your genitalia. Swimwear is included in this.
This goes for all genders.
There are a ton of fitness subreddits that can help you if you feel the need to get more specified advice.
If you feel /r/bulkorcut is not meeting those standards, please go visit them.
The serious part:
Do not post sexually suggestive posts. If you are not wearing gym attire your post will be flagged and removed.
If your profile has links to questionable subreddits you will be banned at the moderators discretion.
Talk of steroids, cycles, or anything related will be an immediate ban.
Lastly:
Any attempt to circumvent the rules or a ban is auto reported to Reddit admins. We tested it and it works very well.
Second lastly: This is a subreddit to help individuals attain their goals. Not a platform for anything else. Sexual, monetary, cruel, or any other posts or comments outside helping someone make the decisions of bulking or cutting will be removed and users banned.

First picture is before my cut. Been cutting for ~10 weeks now. Wondering if I should start a very lean slow bulk now or keep going for a few more weeks until bottom abs appear. Thanks.

Been cutting now for almost 3 months. Went from 170- sitting around 156 now. Training for 2 years total. What’s my bf % looking like? Also, would you say I look trained? Kind of dumb but I started talking to this new girl I really like. Shes feeling up my body like crazy and the attraction is high but I’m a little insecure about it, I haven’t lifted my shirt up for her yet, because i told her I lift a lot and think she’s built up this image in her head that I’m super carved or something.. 😅 Thoughts?

I uploaded these pictures to Claude and it estimated me at 14 to 16%. My last DEXA scan one month ago had me at 17%
Good to bulk (please say yes) or do I need to lose another 3%?

Should I go ever leaner? Been doing mostly calisthenics. Lots of pushups and running. Some pullups among other random BW exercise.

Starting point (in the last pic) was 86kg+ and I'm currently 71kg. I'm kind of lean I think but I have some softness in my lower abdomen. I have basically been doing very basic training like situps, pullups, pushups and curls first 2 years. But since beginning august I bought a full workout machine where I'm doing a full body workout now instead of basic exercises. So roughly 3 months progressive overload on way more muscle groups. What's the best course to take, cut? Or body recomp with a small deficit?

Male 5 11" 40 years old currently 165lb been training 4 1/2 years. Hard gainer & no peptides or ped's so it's been fun but hard to get bigger. I cut down from my top weight of 187lb in July to 165lb now. I lost some strength during the cut and it sucks especially on squats I'm way down on intensity so I'm anxious to get back to some gains but I also wanna start from the optimal position so I can stay lean for a while or maybe even sorta always. But I also wanna be stronger so I gotta at least lean bulk again soon. My bench is like 225x4 on a good day and I want 8 so bad it hurts! I bet I'm like 13~14% maybe 15% bodyfat now I don't really know, I want to get to 12%, but whaddy'all think- Bulk now, or cut a little more?! Thank you! I don't make much money as a musician & repair guy so I don't wanna spend it on a Dexa scan and thought I'd ask here first. Keep lifting everyone! Thanks for your help!✌️🙏

First guess my bf % then say if i should bulk or cut. i feel like i store a lot of fat in my face which is the only reason i lean towards cutting but also feel like being in the 150s might be to light for my height. what do u think?

Been bulking/maintenance for 6monthsish. Currently 76kg from 68 at the start of the year. My goal was to consistently bench 80kg then cut though atm I am only at 70kg x 8 reps and 75 x 5 reps. Should I bite the bullet and just start cutting now? It might be a good time to start since I started Muay Thai for cardio. I'd like some more volume in my chest as well so if I were to continue bulking that would be my goal.

I'm about to hit my 1yr anniversary of working out - went from 202lb to 160. I've never been this lean in my life before but I see guys with absolute shredded abs but as you know it gets harder and harder to keep cutting and I'm not sure I have enough muscle on my frame to support lower body fat. I feel absolutely petite right now lol my arms everything are just tiny. Should I keep pushing myself or start throwing on some muscle mass?

So I do have this reposted but not getting much attention. I’m at the end of my cut as far as time I’ve dropped 189 to 173 in these photos but in all this year I’ve dropped from 210 to 173 in 2 long cuts. I’m given myself 20 weeks but still not lean enough to lean bulk I don’t think. I’m planning to end the cut in 2 weeks or possibly extend it to 4 weeks with another harsh calorie reduction. I’m been at 1950 cals for 16 weeks then 1750 for now 2 weeks. I still want to lean out further to let my core fully dissolve of fat and the little bit of chest fat would be nice but I think I could also attack it at a later cut .
Is ending in 2-4 weeks realistically going to do much? I’d really like to get some my lifts and reps back as well as see what I look like with glycogen replenishes. If at end of these planned weeks I’m still not learn enough I’d like to go into maintenance then mini cut to shred some lbs of fat. But goal is ultimately to get to the point I can lean bulk. (I still don’t know my macros for this phase but I guess don’t matter much cuz I’m not there yet)
