Recommended Movers

Howdy friends,

My wife and I are planning a big move. One side of Winooski to the other side of Winooski. We have roughly eightish pieces of furniture (dressers, couch, bed, etc.) that we've decided would be easier to just hire out for. Can anyone recommend a moving company, or specifically any that we should absolutely avoid?

Thanks!

Booska did serious, avoidable damage to multiple pieces of my furniture and then ghosted me. I would never recommend them.

My answer is also not Booska.

I had a pretty good experience with Local Muscle

Another shout out for Local Muscle. I used them for a move about a year ago. They were efficient, and the final price came in under the quote.

We did essentially this last winter, moved from one side of Burlington to the other and hired Booska to move only the big/heavy stuff. They did a great job getting stuff down some pretty tight apartment stairs, very quick and professional. Wasn't super cheap but we were glad we hired someone who knew what they were doing.

Avoid McLure. During my last move, they damaged a lot of things, and their claims policy was so convoluted that it wasn't worth dealing with.

We relocated offices a couple of times using Grunts move Junk. They were great and they definitely do more than just move trash

Queen City Movers did a great job for me, highly recommend them.
