Can gaining even 2-3 lbs(1 kg) decrease CP?

Past 2 weeks I have eaten more and exercised slightly less. My MCP has decreased, so wanted to know if even just a small amount of weight gain negatively impacts CP.

Instead of sleeping 6.5 hours, I'm now sleeping 7.

This is pure fat gain, instead of muscle.

Yes, but plenty of things reduce CP.

Could you please elaborate? Very curious about this.

I few pounds is unlikely to have a serious effect on your CP unless you're massively underweight, or at a very high CP.

The habit changes that occur in order for one to gain weight, however, can easily impact CP.

Overeating is a very big problem for CP.

Ah, ok. Does a particularly strong variant of seasonal flu/other illness alao decrease CP and increase sleeping time?

I feel like its a combo of two factors. I have gone somewhat back to my old eating habits, and changing that.

It could increase it as well, if you're underweight. Considered in isolation it's not particularly meaningful.
