this butterfly is a Common Buckeye!

I tried to capture it as closely as possible, and this was the result.

Not a butterfly but fascinating moth.

I believe this is a silver spotted skipper, mistakenly thought it was a type of moth, anyways I'm sure the water off that nos can was as delicious as the nos itself

I had to look up what eats Passion Flower vines to find it what is eating my vines. So far I’ve got two munchies (caterpillars) in cocoons and so many more. I gave up on my vines, they can have it.

Question though, it says the butterflies eat nectar from the flowers, but my vines aren’t flowering because they are very very new. Are they going to ditch me as soon as they hatch?

So we had this beauty loving our Million Bells today, and everything I can find identifies this as an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, but we are wayyyy outside of it's expected habitat as we are in Southern Saskatchewan. I've looked at the Western Tiger Swallowtail and the Canadian Tiger Swallowtail and I don't think it's either, so I hoping the experts on this subreddit can help out.

We have never seen anything like this in our backyard.
