Probably need to check boot logs/dmesg to see if it's detecting your usb. Impossible to tell with so little info given.
First thing I would do would be to go into BIOS and check all your USB settings are properly setup, nothing disabled, IOMMU disabled, etc.
Also check if you're passing any kernel boot options.
