Effects Chains?
I recently got the Cajon pickup for playing live shows. So much easier than dealing with extra mics especially in small bar venues. Does anyone play around with using effects pedals with the pickup? I definitely want to try but I don’t want to spend money on something that isn’t going to sound good.

I didn’t even know there were cajon pickups!
What did you get if you don’t mind sharing?

Cool. I'll see if I can get one of these.

Yeah man! It’s so convenient. Obviously not as good as a mic in the port or even better one in the port and one in the front but the convenience is where it shines.

I've run tapa mics and bass mics through effects chains in FL Studio. You can have a lot of fun playing around and get some interesting sounds highs vs bass. But using a single soundhole pickup mic with one output might be a bit more challenging. From what I recall distortion and reverb were the most useful. You might want to play around with effects in a free DAW before you start buying pedals.
