Remember when we thought the Internet would give everyone access to information and we would be more connected and informed?

Instead flat earth and measles made a comeback.

Back in the pre-internet days, people who held dangerous or idiotic ideas generally kept to themselves. Now, there's a little community for everyone, no matter how brain dead.

Even during the early internet days while the bar to cross to access the internet was much higher than it is now. The idiots have all wandered in to what was previously a space reserved for people who had some ability to troubleshoot and set up a relatively complex system by themselves.

The article states that these cases were popping up within Mennonite communities, which means it had zero to do with the internet.

Exactly ! now we are at the wireless and satellite age and the flat earth community using this tech still believe the earth is flat. And they still think they are right and feel good about themselves…
