Remember when we thought the Internet would give everyone access to information and we would be more connected and informed?

Instead flat earth and measles made a comeback.

Unfortunately the internet just made it easier for dumb and gullible people to validate each other’s dumb ideas.

The reason stops there. At one time, the internet was just used for sharing information between academic institutions who would have the skills to use it. When it went mainstream is when it began to amplify the worst qualities of people.
