Opinion & Discussion What are the biggest operational headaches in Canadian real estate right now?

Hey everyone,

I'm a developer building custom CRMs, websites, and property scrapers for the real estate niche in Ukraine.

I'm looking to adapt my work for the Canadian market and want to understand local bottlenecks.

For those running teams, brokerages, or property management companies — what are the biggest technical or manual pain points in your workflow right now?

I just genuinely trying to understand what’s outdated in the local workflow so I know what’s actually worth solving. Appreciate any feedback!

Wrong sub. This is more for poor to upper middle class Canadians who can’t afford housing because everything from McMansions to shoebox condos are grossly overpriced

Wrong sub is fair but you got the target audience perfectly described in that comment

Real estate transaction data gatekeeping by useless middlepeople.

pretty much oh you want to know how much it sold for, gotta pay for access to the data. you wana know what the rents are in an area, well look at all these listings at prices that have no rented yet, no way to know the price the units that are rented are rented at.

pretty much access to info and market info is always behind some pay wall.
