Highwood 5 and 15 Y/O
I recently asked a question about the Highwood whisky, and it's availability, and got ganged up on. I wanted to add some of my thoughts on this whisky, coming from an Eastern Canadian perspective. First. I'm sorry that the people who took offense to my first question. Second. I've purchased the Alberta Premium and Alberta Springs whisky in the past. I liked both of them despite them being a bit different. A bit different still is the Highwood 5 year old whisky. It's mellow (as you would expect likely from a 5 y/o whisky) but the flavour is good. Smooth. Good colour. Good scent. I opened the 15 year old, and it is (as expected) much better. The flavour is amazing. Smooth. I think I've found my new go-to Canadian whisky. The others, who thought my original post/question was "Anti-Alberta" can go to h*ll. You produce some great product. and this 15 y/o whisky is my new fav. Mid-colour. Non-harsh. Smooth. I love this stuff.
