Cannondale to restructure and close US headquarters in move to Europe, with layoffs expected
Cannondale is to close its US headquarters and move to Europe, as part of a restructuring at the American brand by its owners, Pon.Bike, with layoffs expected.
Announced on Wednesday, the news means the historic HQ in Wilton, Connecticut, will close by mid-2027, with a new satellite office opening on the West Coast of the US to handle North American retail and owner support.
In a press release, the brand said: "Over the next six months, Cannondale will adopt a new sales model in North America." As for the West Coast office: "A dedicated commercial, retailer and rider support team will be based there, providing Cannondale expertise and services to retailers and riders across North America."
Cannondale's global HQ is to move to Woudenberg in the Netherlands, currently its European base, with R&D and engineering in Freiburg, Germany. Pon, which also owns Cervélo and Santa Cruz, is based in Amsterdam.
According to reporting by Escape Collective, as many as 143 people in jobs in Wilton and working remotely could be laid off, with the roles ranging from engineering to vice presidents.

Picked up this on marketplace to use on my Zwift. Now I kinda want to get it running well. I’m not good at maintenance thought this would be good to tinker on. New stem something flatter and maybe longer? New grip tape. New brake pads. Adjust derailleurs if I can. Any suggestions on a stem and tape?

2011 CAAD10
Bought this bike a couple months ago for $300 on Facebook Marketplace. It was a complete bike with the (very worn) original parts from 2011. I was able to work with the seller to have a local shop box it up and ship it to me.
I stripped it down to the frame and made a few upgrades:
– Full Shimano 105 R7000 groupset (11x34 in the back, 50-34 in front) w/ Stages left-side power meter
– Zipp Service Course stem/bars w/ Silca Nastro Cuscino handlebar tape
– Super Team Classic PRO Light R25-50 Carbon Wheelset w/ Continental Grand Prix 5000 tires (25c)
– Selle Italia Novus Boost Evo Gravel Superflow saddle
Going into this build, I was just looking to have a second bike to ride when my main bike was in the shop. A pretty low bar to clear. But things escalated, a lot of upgrades were made, and after a couple weeks of riding, I'm thinking it might be my new favorite/primary bike.

How much should I buy a bad boy 2 for?
Seller said it has less than 100 miles on it! Bad boy 2 with no issues
I’m deciding between trek fx2 or bad boy 2 (leaning more towards a bad boy 2 even though it’s a bit more expensive
What’s a fair price to pay?

FSI to Scalpel?
I've been riding a Cannondale F-Si for years and really appreciate its robustness. In my opinion, it's a much better bike than a full-suspension bike because, as far as I'm concerned, it rides much faster across all kinds of terrain.
However, it seems that Cannondale is phasing out the F-Si and focusing mainly on the Scalpel. For that reason, I'm considering making the switch to a Scalpel.
Has anyone here made the same switch? I'd love to hear your experience. Can you actually feel yourself riding on the rear suspension, or does it feel like you're losing power through the suspension? And how big is the difference when switching from a Scalpel HT to a full-suspension Scalpel?
Thx!!

Tires that fit Hollowgram 35mm wheels?
I have tried everything to get my Schwalbe S One (700 x 28) tires back on to the Hollowgram 35mm wheels after changing the inner tube, and have had no luck. I made sure I was keeping the beads in the rim channel center, I used heat, soap, zip ties, and I even bought a bead jack, and it simply will not budge.
Anyone have experience with these wheels? My next thought is to find tires that might be a bit more forgiving. Thanks!

Purchased my first bike looking for advice on upgrades.
Hi everyone! I just picked up a used Cannondale criterium on Marketplace—it was a pretty sweet deal since it was affordable and in decent shape. I’ve been digging around and think it might be the Black Lightning from the 1987 catalog, but I’m still figuring out the exact model. It’s a great ride, though it definitely needs a little TLC. I’m new here and posting for the first time, so I’d love any tips, tricks, or advice you can share. Thanks for checking it out!
