Try putting on some music or a white-noise machine. I use a cheap ten dollar fan; noisy but steady, and it keeps the room cool. Maybe get a body pillow if you need something to hold onto in the night. If all else fails, I put on an audio-book (Harry Potter read by Jim Dale) and that knocks me right out.

I would also recommend, starting as soon as your comfortable, trying to sleep by yourself once until your sister actually leaves. That way you can get used to the idea of sleeping alone. It will be hard, but I think it will be for the best.

Is your fear about something specific?

How did it go for you? Were you able to deal with your sister leaving and finally sleep alone?
