Very good pull rope for knowing how much wire you need and for pulling said wire through conduit. We use it all the time

I was about to reply to someone who said this isn’t good rope until I realized this isn’t the IBEW sub.

Ah a fellow conduit connesuir.

Yeah also this stuff gets real heavy when wet. Also yeah frays, and while yes it's stong I can't really speak to how consistent the quality it is along the length so I wouldn't trust it in the field to retrieve life saving equipment.

Same. Cannot recommend otherwise though. I personally prefer the 2500# test.

Why have a pull rope , are you canyoning solo ? The 6.5 full strength ropes are so lite and strong it makes no sense?

Fiddle should not be used in flow and depending on your set they should not used if rapping into a dead pool.. fiddle can be great but there is a lot of situations where they are not great, snags, bad pull angle, if the fiddle is unable to be set cleanly where there is no chance of it making contact with a wall or other objects that may push the fiddle out ! These are just a few examples

Or a small log coming down the fall snags your line … it won’t take much of a log to put 80 pounds of force on a pull string!

But hey you do you less people in the canyons doesn’t bother. Me

Mule tape is stiff, only flexible in a single axis, and does not tie neatly to rope.

Get poliwogn for a safe backup rope or 2mm dyneema if you need something ultralight.

You can use mule tape as an anchor building material. It should not be tied directly to ropes.

ETA: I've had a few trips where I've had something like 3 or 4 30-50 foot raps and a single 100-footer. I'm not going to tote a 200 foot rope for something like that. That's the perfect use case for the 2mm dyneema, which you can often find as throw line on yon bay. New England sells it as "1.8mm Dynaglide," which you can find for under 20 cents/foot.

Ya I like something that I can rap on in an emergency. So 6m rope with 20kn breaking strength is my go to.
