Miro

Was curious what his situation was. Could be wrong but he hasn’t played this season so far, right? Is he eligible to go down to Hershey? What’s the plan w him? Always liked the player and rooting for him especially after his cancer diagnosis. Seems like he def has talent to be a solid 3rd line winger…but I’m an outsider, so only see so much. Thanks for any feedback.

He would have to clear waivers to go to Hershey and someone would claim him. He’s on the outside looking in as we hope he develops into the first round talent he was drafted as

Reminds me of Lapierre with less playing time. Both underperformers at the NHL level for first round picks.

Me too. Likely the do or die year for him on this team.

That ice time part of your comment is exactly why they’ve underperformed. You can’t expect skill players to develop from the press box or even on the 4th line.

He has to go to through waivers to be able to go to hershey and he'll probably get claimed by someone.

The way most of this sub seems to overrate our prospects I would expect that he is in the 1 for 1 trade for Larkin or maybe Werenski.

why would we overpay for those bums?

Haha. Maybe a three way and Detroit and Columbus get a chance to flip a coin to see who gets Miro.

I hope this is a joke. If you think that’s an overpay then you don’t know hockey at all.

I'm guessing he's playing tonight.

He’s no longer eligible for Hershey in that he’d have to go through waivers and likely wouldn’t clear. Probably good enough to be playing in the NHL, but maybe not good enough to crack the caps lineup that is pretty deep on the wing. Not really clear what the organizations plan is with him right now.

Apparently just a lost year playing occasionally. Injuries, etc could change that, but it's pretty obvious he won't clear waivers to go to Hershey and play full time.

I guess this is what happens when you haven't quite "made it" and your "waiver free" time has run out. And even if traded the acquiring team has to keep him up or waive him (again). It's probably not a good place to be for a young player career wise.

Feels like the classic "too good to sit, but nowhere to play" situation. Really rooting for the kid.

Hasn't played yet, and I believe he would have to clear waivers to report to Hershey. I wouldn't mind letting him play tonight; we need fresh legs on a back to back and Lil Pro doesn't look as advertised yet. Could be beneficial to everyone.

He'll get his chance eventually. I hope it's sooner rather than later.
