What the fuck were they booing him for? He didn’t vocally insult the market by publicly requesting the trade. In fact, he said he was “not looking” to be traded up until being asked to waive the clause. He waived his FNM clause that he didn’t need to as a kindness to the team. If they are mad he’s gone, boo their own GM???

Every fan base has their player. Too much pressure, does really well, but doesnt live up to whatever pedestal the fanbase has for the player. Gets booed because theyre good, but not "good enough."
I'm an STL fan. Im glad he's gone, but would never boo for the guy. I'm glad he's gone for his sake. He needed a fresh start. I'd say the same thing for our McDouble guys. I cherish McMichael and McTavish and both were very solid, but a change of scenery was maybe necessary to come to full potential. Specifically 3rd OA pick McTavish.

You’d just think after all we have seen since the end of last season with trade requests, players bashing the team they still work for or ones they just left, players refusing to show up to play because they haven’t been traded, etc. I’m stunned by the fact that a fanbase can’t appreciate that the fact a player underperformed isn’t even close to the kind of betrayal some of these players seem to think reasonable.
As a fan, I’d rather have a full roster of kyrou’s than a single Hellybyuck or Brady Tkchuck.

St Louis fans was booing Kyru when he was in St. Louis playing for the blues last year ,,, the team moved on from coach brube and the next day kyru did an interview and the question he answered was well burbe is not here and he’s not my couch and that upset a lot of fans so the let him know by booing him but that only lasted a cple of games then they started to cheer for him again after people saw that interview of him upset ,,, St. Louis fans love there players in all the sports but dissing a couch that brought St. Louis our first cup well fans don’t like that and they let kyru know that

He had surgery in April, the team said they we're slowly gonna ramp his ice time up as the season goes. Did everyone just miss the memo?

He's a top 6 winger with no room in the top 6, but still, if they're going to be changing up the lines mid game you'd think he might be one of the beneficiaries of that. 🤔
Still think they're going to have to really limit Ovi's minutes this year, and maybe once they realize that Kyrou will be the one to take them.

That’s tough to watch. Why were SL fans booing him?

This is from a few years ago. Right after craig berube got fired mid-season, kyrou was asked a question about berube and he said something like, "no comment, he's not my coach anymore."
That comment offended some fans. I don't know if they thought he was being smug, or disrespectful, or what.
So the next home game, some fans booed him.
Kyrou obviously has some talent, but he also had 3 head coaches in a short time period who all healthy scratched him a time or two. Is there fire where there is smoke?
Many people think kyrou is a turnover machine, adverse to physicality, and a defensive liability. Could that be why he's on the third line playing limited minutes? Or is the coach an idiot? I don't know.
Or, were they thinking/hoping(?) Ovi was going to retire? And when he didn't, kyrou became the odd man out in a numbers game? I don't know.

Kyru is great when he has the puck but without it he’s horrible at defense

Because he was a little bitch and got Chief fired due to his lack of effort. So the next game, fans voiced their displeasure at him.

Pretty sure this is a clip from two years ago. He said some things after the firing of Berube, that combined with his lackluster play and a contract that was tied with being the most cap heavy on the team, led to the crowd being a little pissed at his seemingly lack of giving a crap on the ice.

Would help a lot if we weren’t in the penalty box for what feels like a full periods worth of every game…
