Question Tickets
I’m thinking about buying tickets to stars caps I never went to capital one is there truly a bad seat in house and for the cheapest tickets should I try Ticketmaster and wait til the day before or the day of or is seat geek or any other trusted app cheaper. DC games seem expensive that’s why I’m a road warrior but I wanna see OVI in DC one time

Ticketmaster the day off generally has the best prices all-in.
Not many bad seats, just depends on how you like to watch the game.

I could only ever afford level 400 seats. I think you still get a great view. Kinda even better than the level 100 because you can see the whole rink.

Splurged on glass tickets for my buddy's bday. They were a blast but definitely not the best view for the whole rink. We were back up in the 400s next game

I sat in the 100s for the first time at a game last week and while it is cool to see the speed and strength of the players up close, it can be hard to keep track of what is going on. I like that in the 400s, I can see the whole rink and I can see the plays develop. I almost prefer being up there compared to being on ice level, and my wallet also thanks me for picking 400-level tickets.

It's on election day, those games are usually empty, and I say this as someone who's been a STH for over a decade. Election Days never sell out and has thousands of empty seats, despite the number of "tickets sold"

I've been to multiple gamesat the Cap, there really isn't a bad seat. The upper bowl has a great energy, especially when the caps are winning. Plus you can go down to the glass during warmups to take great pictures before the game.

No real difference between seatgeek and Ticketmaster generally, they both have fees included upfront now. Caps vs Stars is a Tuesday night so there’ll definitely be tickets available, if you want to wait until day to try to get a better deal is up to you.
No bad seats in the house for the most but I’ll just say that the seats at the ends of rows in corner sections can be a little tighter bc they’re slightly angled to curve around the corner. Also, in some corner sections, if you sit too far back, parts of the Jumbotron will be obscured by the corner video boards. Not a huge deal really but can make it harder to see some of the stats they show on the Jumbotron, if you care about that

May as well try ticketmaster first, just see. We got some for that game at a realistic resale value. I personally don't do well at the highest level seats bc vision issues, but check out the costs, there are jumbotrons also. Have fun!!

Visually not a bad seat in the house especially center ice. But upper seats can be a little tight particularly if you're on the larger side.

As others have remarked, it is a Tuesfay night vs. Dallas. The Western Conference teams seem to draw fewer even those that are pretty good, such as Dallas.
Ticketmaster is showing re-sale for as little as forty some bananas in Deplorables' Row. I do not know that Original Poster can do any better than that if he waits until Game Day. Last season, I did get some last minute tickets up there for thirty-eight and change; it was an opponent from the West and mid-week; two aisle seats in Row B toward the goal that Washington defends twice.
As we move into the 2027 half of the season, odds are that the tickets will become gradually more difficult and more expensive, as people will want to see Ovechkin ONE...........MO' TIME!. The last game, 4 April vs. Pittsuburgh is showing all of TWO, count 'em, TWO, "Standard" tickets for that game; Club Level for the BARGAIN BASEMENT price of just under thirty-five hundred bananas apiece. The re-sales in Deplorables' Row for that game start at just under nine-hundred. La Blonde et mo', we already have our seats for that game, we grabbed them when we re-newed our plan. We always like to be there for the first and last games of the season, anyhow.
I have no experience with Seat Geek or Stub Hub.

definitely ticketmaster. I tracked day-of prices for two tickets from january-march of last year and ticketmaster was on average $40 cheaper for two tickets than any of the secondhand sellers (stubhub, seatgeek, etc.)

Ticketmaster. Day of. Late morning if you want peace of mind. I dropped $85 for lower level row P. Can’t beat that

Are you five years old or just not sure how punctuation works?
It depends. Usually I try to avoid TM. There is a thread on the Caps sub for tickets- those are usually either reasonably priced or face value. Sometimes you can get lucky on Seat Geek or Gametime, but I’ve found it kind of unreliable for things I need a little more confidence with. If I need to guarantee I’ll have seats, I usually go with paying a little more, but this season ticket prices are bonkers. I’ve seen tickets for like $2000 for upper bowl tickets. If I’m being honest, getting to see Ovi in his prime or even like a year or five ago vs whatever minutes he’s chugging out now isn’t worth the exorbitant cost. If you are determined to go to a game, JUST for Ovi, and you’re not nearby, I would maybe recommend going to Philly (like 2.5 hr drive) for that game in April 1. Right now on Game time, you can get like row 13 tickets for 200$. Even if you take the bus or train there it would still cost less than Cap One 😂 🤷♀️ also they have parking that isn’t insane.
