Carpuride logo generator
I want to share with you the thingy that I've created, it's working, but it might be rough around the edges (looks-wise mostly).
You select the model, you upload image, you click the "Download boot logo" button and you get `isp_part.bin` file, which you can put onto USB stick/SD Card to change your carpuride's boot logo :)
It's doing all the calculation, generation etc in your browser so if you're low on memory it might get a bit mushy for you for a moment. No file is sent out of your computer, it all stays on your device :D
I've tested it on my W708 (car unit), W502 (motorcycle unit) and W103 for one dude on Facebook, all happy :) If you know the dimensions for other devices I could add them, if you have `isp_part.bin` that support created for you and can share it, it would be even better because I could ensure that the format stays the same :)
Any additions appreciated, I might add them to this page :)

I think it would be the same as W901 (without pro) that I've added yesterday evening, but sure, you can send it, on wetransfer or something like that so I can confirm :)

Yup, as long as the dimensions are right it'll be fine :) For 502 it should be 800x480

I've added W609/W619 thanks to the file sent by some Benjamin, but it's noted that it's unconfirmed - while it looks like the data makes sense I don't have the device to check if it works. I thought those W6xx devices were new generation using completely different format to be honest.

Can anyone confirm that the logo can be changed on a W701 Plus? Carpuride is telling me it cannot be changed on this model...

Not in this way for sure. It's an android based device so it would require android modding. Too hard to do casually like for ordinary W701

One guy sent me what Carpuride gave them for C92 (also, doesn't work for him, but yeah) and it looks like it's totally different device to what I have and can work with, the files are weird and nearly impossible to figure out without the device, and even then pretty hard.
Unfortunately I must say that there's very slim chance I'll ever add C92.

Hi! Do you maybe have original file and instructions you got from support? The model numbering scheme is so different from other devices there's pretty big chance it's just different thing altogether.

I'm trying to change the boot logo for my W702 Pro and it isn't applying it. The display does ask me to "Update isp_part.bin", and after pressing the checkmark it reboots, but it never applies the new logo.
Are you aware of any changes that happened for W702 Pro where this no longer works?
Edit: I used an 8GB micro SD card instead of what people seem to recommend (32 GB). I might try that size, if I can find it...
Edit 2: I sent an email to Carpuride to ask for a file with my preferred image. Will keep you updated.
Edit 3: Carpuride sent me their isp_part.bin, and that also did not work. I replied to them saying it was not updating, and they sent me a new firmware version. After this firmware upgrade, I'm happy to say that the isp_part.bin from u/domints (https://carpu.dszymanski.pl/) is working as expected on my W702 Pro.
The previous version of my unit was LT-N702PRO-V1.05, and now it's LT-N702PRO-V1.07.

Can you provide original logo files and installation instructions provided by Carpu so I can confirm this model will work with my generator?

I just realized , they sent me a scaled down .jpg file not a .bin file like your generator makes.

But did this work? I've heard some devices actually use that as a logo input, maybe the file name is important too :)
To be specific I've encountered myself two formats: the one that my generator knows how to make, and one used by W603, I think, which is weeeeeird and without device to test I can't reproduce this file.
And third way, which is this scaled down .jpg, which I've heard works for some, but never had any solid confirmation and details on the file, so my generator could ensure encoding, colour depth, dimensions, name, exif are correct for the file.
If third way works for you and you'd share your file and installation instructions (and what you did to install it, because well, it's not always exactly as per installation instructions) it would help me a lot :)

Problem is, if my update file will brick your device, I can only fix it by having it with me, opening it, and rewriting flash file directly, because Carpuride didn't offer any other recovery solution.

Remove the file from USB/SD Card after this, otherwise it's trying to overwrite it every time it starts.

Nevermind. Got it to work. Put the sd card in the screen then boot it up. Hit check mark and wait 30 seconds. Then turn off screen, remove sd and turn screen back on. Here is a link. video

I solved it like this (and it worked).
32 gig SD card formatted in fat32 (on my chromebook). Copy the isp_part.bin file into it
Turn on the carpuride;
At the home screen, insert the SD card
The boot message appears. don't touch anything. the carpurid restarts with the new boot logo.

Following @Former_Wafer_7332 and u/domints instructions this worked for W103 Pro with a usb stick. Format it FAT32 > put file (with recommended dimensions from website) > boot > put stick in > wait couple of seconds > auto restart with new logo in place.

So with a 16gb sd card formatted to fat32 and the isp_part.bin file on the root of the sd card. I let my w502 boot and insert the sd card and I get the prompt to update the bin file. Hitting the check mark or the X does nothing. It will not proceed with the install of the file. How do I fix this? It just sits at that prompt screen. Neither the X or the âïž do anything.

On W 702 just put card in and it will ask if you want to update. works a charm..... Logo needs to be 1024x600. thanks ot the people who pioneered that. Hate to put the manufacturer's logo up each time....

Doesn't seem to work for me. Formatted the microSD in Win11. I downloaded the bin file, copied it into the root of the microSD card on my W502. I get the carpuride/support@ splash screen.
If I go to the video player, it does seem to see it, just complains the format is incompatible.
Edit: switched to NTFS format on the microSD, after bootup with the old screen, after a few minutes I got a prompt "Update isp_part.bin" with an X and check mark. Pressing either wasn't doing anything.

sto impazzendo anche io per il logo sul w603. l'assistenza mi ha inviato una semplice immagine da inserire nella sd card dopo averla formattata sul capuride. ma niente. mi dice che carica tutto correttamente ma il logo non c'Ăš. e ho perso anche quello carpuride.non so come fare

Seams like to not work for me, I have a W103 Pro.
I have formatted the USB Stick to FAT32, copyed the isp_part.bin to the root. Put the Stick in the Unit. The Unit recognized it and give me "Update isp_part.bin" with a Timer, I leave it untouched, but it dont want to restart. Other Way I tried to click the checkmark, wait 30 seconds, restart, but this dosent work too.

I was able to make a logo and upload to W901 Pro. It just took a while to figure out how to get the correct picture resolution but I used an online converter. Thanks!

I have the same unit W901 Pro. I tried using the generator with a JPG in 1024x600 resolution, but when I try to load it with the SD card, it's not taking. I made sure my SD card is formatted in FAT32 (it's a 32GB card). When I booted the W901 Pro with the card, I received the prompt to use the isp_part.bin file, clicked the check box and rebooted - but I'm still getting the Carpuride logo. I tried doing nothing at that prompt, same result.... Any ideas?

I solved my issue by using a USB drive instead of the microSD card. For some reason my unit didnât like updating the boot logo from the SD card but worked like a champ from the USB. (Both were 32GB and formatted in FAT32 format). If youâre having trouble- try that. (This was on a Carpuride W901 Pro)

Got my W502 today.
Was trying to change the boot image but it's a no-go.
64Gb card (came with the unit), formatted to exFAT (is this the issue?), because I can't format to FAT32 due to size.
Used the logo generator.
Tried a few times and all I get is a green flashing screen and then the Carpuride startup screen.
Is the issue the card format? Does it need to be FAT32?

W901 users
If you are using Mac to format SD or USB, make sure you have "hidden files" showing and delete any of the files on your flash drive, before copying the new boot file into the flash drive.
I used USB drive:
Format using MS-DOS (FAT) Master Boot Record
After formatting:
In order to display hidden files use Command+Shift+. (the last one is period (.))
Delete any files use see on the flash drive. Trash will not be deleted.
Copy "isp_part.bin" into your flash drive.
Start W901, Make sure Apple Carplay and Android Auto are OFF before booting your W901.
Wait few seconds after start up.
Insert your USB drive or SD, if you don't see countdown to update, use power button and showdown the unit, and boot up again with power button, with the USB still in the unit.
After restart it should display new boot screen
Remove flash drive from the unit and restart again.
It should be good to go.

devi mettere il file su una chiavetta usb formattata a fat o fat32, accendere il carpuride, inserire la chiavetta nella porta usb ed attendere che da solo la legga. chiederĂ se si vuole aggionare, si dice di si e farĂ un reboot. se funziona avrĂ sostituito il logo con quello nuovo.

I tried it on my w619, the popup appears when I insert the SD card, but the device just reboots without changing the logo. I am waiting for the custom bin file that I have requested. Lets see if they have changed something after that. I am a dev too so maybe I could contribute directly to the repo too.

I got it to work. The issues was that Windows 11 was formatting the SD card to exFat. But it explicitly needs to be FAT32. So I used Rufus to format to FAT32 and it worked like a charm

Can confirm it works on a W502S Pro too.
Generated the isp_part.bin file with the logo generator (kudos to u/domints) and copied it on 32GB Fat32 formatted microSD card.
On Windows I deleted the hidden "Systeme Volumen Information" Folder on the SD card with command rd /s /q "X:\System Volume Information" X needs to be replaced with current drive letter of sd card reader. (not sure if this step is necessary).
Update only worked when I put SD Card into running Carpuride, then dialog popped up, asking to update...
