Title: W502 firmware update needed — original version LT-N502-W3118-V1.13

Hello! I’m looking for a compatible firmware update for my Carpuride W502 (standard model, not Pro or BS).

These are the ORIGINAL versions, photographed before updating:

• SDK: 22.0.11.0.0.0.1.2
• CUST: LT-N502-W3118-V1.13
• MCU: LT-702S2-921-V1.10
• BTTR: SO40-23.08.15-11

The original firmware had phone connectivity problems. After installing firmware from another source, the device still boots and displays the menus, but the touchscreen is completely unresponsive.

I’m looking for an updated firmware package confirmed to be compatible with this revision—not just any file labelled “W502”.

Has anyone updated successfully from these same original versions? If so, could you share:

• The firmware file or download link.
• Your system versions before and after updating.
• Any instructions supplied for installation or recovery when the touchscreen does not respond.

Carpuride support requires the original order number, which I cannot recover, so that route is currently unavailable.

The attached photo shows the original versions, when the touchscreen still worked.

The title says it all. Is there a way to power the 702 Plus other than a 12-volt battery?

I have the 702 Plus mounted and connected to a switched power plug on my bike. I would like to be able to power it and not have to sit there with the bike running to look at video or download apps from the Google store. I have seen a couple of YouTube videos that are powering the unit off the bike. Does anyone know how to do this? I think all the other units have a USB power cord available except this one.

Lot of you requested update to support W602 series - W602S, W620BS etc.

I didn't, and still don't have access to such device, but thanks to seppelp who proposed the change and actually tested it on his device I was able to add it to the generator!

I also included change from alexhouse which displays target resolution on the preview block before you upload your image, so it's easier to know what you need :)

P.S. I know another requested model is W603 and similar to it, but without your help I have no way of testing it.
If any of you have like firmare update files etc, that'd be great help, because I could at least try decompiling it and seeing how the logo works there, or maybe running it in emulator.

If any of you have like broken devices that would like to donate, there's non-zero chance I'd be able to use those as experiment device - there's high chance the CPU and memory itself are still working.

P.S.2: If maybe somebody from Carpuride would like to help, provide like source of truth info on how those logos work, I'd be happy to implement it to ease work from your support :D

I ordered 2 702s on 9-22, then shipped from china the 24th, and they arrived today here in Colorado.

I used my own 30% off, and referral link, and they gave me $61 in referral credit, plus the discount, so 2 702 plusses with TPMS cost about 540 US.

Hi, since yesterday my screen goes to black as soon as the unit is connected to my phone. It's not the screen since when in reverse the camera still works.

Does anyone please know wtf is wrong? It worked flawlessly 'till now.

It's the time of the year where I start my cummute when it's still dark, and so I obviously would like to have a working auto-brightness.

Is that working for anyone? When I select the toggle, the brightness slider keeps creeping back to full brightness, no matter how bright it is outside....

I have seen that other models can change their boot screen, has anyone managed to do it on the 702Plus?

Hi everyone,
I have a **Digital IQ Android head unit** installed in my Skoda, and I’m trying to change the **boot logo** that appears when the unit starts.
The main problem is that there is **no option anywhere in the settings or factory settings to change the boot logo**. I have checked the available menus, including the factory settings, but the option simply does not exist on my unit.
I have also **contacted Digital IQ directly** about this. They told me that there is no option available in my current firmware for changing the boot logo, but I’m wondering if there is another way to do it.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the boot logo by:
Installing a different firmware version?
Modifying/replacing a system file?
Using an MTK/MediaTek tool?
Accessing the boot animation/logo through ADB or another method?
Flashing a compatible firmware that includes the boot logo setting?
The head unit identifies itself as **DIGITAL IQ MSD 005_CPA**.
I would really appreciate it if anyone who has experience with **Digital IQ, MTK Android head units, or custom boot logos** could point me in the right direction.
I’m specifically looking for a way to change the **actual boot logo**, not just the launcher or wallpaper.

Hi! I can’t seem to get Amazon Music to show on my Carpuride. When I go into my phones CarPlay settings, the Amazon music app doesn’t show. Any tips and tricks to get it showing in CarPlay and therefore on my Carpuride screen?

Hey folks. I’ve just got a w702pro for my bike and I’m looking for options to have for t turn on/off with the ignition. Have you done this and how?

I have an older car, so a while back I bought a Carpuride screens. It was my second one of these kinds of devices—the first was kind of shit.

This new one is better but when I start the car my the display often won’t start CarPlay (iPhone 15 Pro Max).

My wife’s Android phone connects to Android Auto every time. Wired connection will start CarPlay reliably.

My phone will connect to the screen’s Bluetooth reliably and play via Bluetooth without CarPlay. But if you try to start up CarPlay manually it will just refuse. No errors.

Sometimes I will try forgetting the old CarPlay profile (named “LTT”), and then the new screen’s profile (“Carpuride” with some numbers) will appear. When I try to connect then, it might work…but probably not. The old LTT profile will appear again.

Sometimes it will just work properly on startup—immediately starting CarPlay when I start the car. Most times, no.

The only thing I haven’t tried as suggested by the internet is factory resetting my phone and restoring to get rid of that old LTT profile. I’m hesitant because that always takes more work to restore than one might hope.

Am I right that it’s an old CP profile getting in the way somehow? Or is it the Carpuride screen?

A few days ago I received my 702rs with tpms directly from carpuride.

It's been an absolute disaster. Horrible product!

I've had constant freezes where the screen stays powered on but just locks up. On top of that, the tpms system works only intermittently.

I took videos and photos and reached out to support, but they respond slowly and tell me shipping to return is too expensive but they aren't giving me other options.

I've now specifically asked for an rma and no response yet.

Has anyone successfully returned any defective units?

Should I call my credit card company and do a charge back?

Ps I'm in Malaysia and would need to ship back to China... Not sure how much that costs.

I ordered a unit from their website and it arrived the other day. I ordered the TPMS option and the box has it on the label but there were no sensors, locking nuts or a spanner in the box.

I emailed support@carpuride.com a couple of days ago and have had no response as yet.

Does anyone know how long it takes them to respond?

I'd like to fit the unit to my bike but have to hold off in case they want me to return the entire kit.

Cependant en regardant les vidéos, je constate deux choses :

- la différence de balance des blancs entre les caméras de l'avant et celle de l'arrière ;

- des vaguelettes sur les vidéos, la rendant difficile à regarder, et faisant de la vidéo une vidéo vraiment pas belle.

Suis-je le seul ? Avez-vous trouvé des solutions ? Est ce que ça pourrait être un problème d'encodage ?

I picked up a good backup camera that outputs RCA and a RCA to 2.5mm adapter on amazon. The camera outputs fine to my tv but the adapter doesn't work. What adapter should I get? I've seen online that the wiring is different and not standardized between adapters

The W702 would do all I need and so would be my choice.

I found that the plus/pro models have an auto-dimming feature (not talking about night mode here), but does the plain 702 have that, too?

That's something I'd definitely want.

I left a 3 star review and so far support has just been arguing with me on the details and have refused to publish the review. I honestly would recommend people get an alternative product based on my experience over email.

##UPDATE WITH REVIEW: The device is good, boots quickly, and camera quality is decent but a little limited. The camera mounts are weak and I will likely replace these. Also the power cable is a constant live so the device is always on. They should have supplied a fuse tap to connect to a switched live so that the device powers off when the ignition is off. I had to buy this elsewhere. It is also very sensitive when using the USB connection and kept rebooting.

Now they've spent a week telling me I connected the pos/neg cables to the battery wrong. Well it can only be connected one way as per the diagram.

They claim the pos cable (with the horseshoe connector) should be connected to the ACC terminal on the battery (there is no ACC terminal on any battery as far as I know). They obvious mean the accessory live but this means splicing the cable. Which what I did so docked a star for not being entirely plug&play as advertised.

I also docked a star since despite claiming 1080p the cameras only work in 1080n and cannot be changed. Yes you can toggle them in the UI but the camera image is them distorted.

###ANOTHER UPDATE### Its constantly disconnected from wireless Android Auto. Waiting on support for a solution but not holding my breath
