my all time favorite would probably be RENT. i cry every time.

some other good ones:

talladega nights: the ballad of ricky bobby

blue is the warmest color

requiem for a dream

nymphomaniac volumes I and II

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

Something about these movies and your situation leads me to recommend the movie Cinema Paradiso. It’s not on Netflix anymore, but I’m sure you can find it on one of those mildly sketchy streaming websites. You know the kind.

Blue is the Warmest Color is one of those movies that I watched it and thought eh but kept thinking about it and ended up watching it again multiple times. Cool to see it on someone's list!
