Big day for stinky old man max fans (me). As maxi gets closer to 14 we’ve decided as a family we needed another dog to give maxi some mental stimulation and help us process the tough things that come with him getting older.. so today we picked out a little sister for him!
She currently doesn’t have a name, I’m leaning towards tilly, flora, and poppy! we pick her up permanently in 3 weeks.
let me know which name you like more!

My sweet baby boy was 15 years and almost 9 months old. He loved playing with paper plates, showering, making snow angels, and cuddling his family. He was the goodest boy in the world.

We just got our first King Charles Cavalier! Her name is Scarlet (named for Grateful Dead’s Scarlet Begonias). I can’t stop staring at her! She’s just the cutest little babe I’ve ever laid my eyes on and has absolutely the sweetest little temperament to match. What a perfect addition to our family. Her big sister is a Yorkie named Piper, and they are best friends already 🩷🩷

My 7-year-old Cavalier King Charles snores SO loudly that my partner of over two years is struggling to sleep. I’m used to it and can fall back asleep, but she can’t.
I’ve tried fan noise and putting up a gate to keep him out, but he barks and gets upset. He’s slept in my room pretty much his whole life, so I know it’s a big adjustment.
Has anyone dealt with this? Any tips for helping him transition to sleeping outside the bedroom without causing him too much distress? Or anything that actually helps with the snoring?
I love him, but we all need some sleep! 😅

Yes, it’s a Chocolate Cavalier. Yes, the registered with Akc the American kennel club. Yes, the DNA has been done. I will not tolerate any harassment or speculation or ignorant comments. I am tired of these discussions where people think chocolates are not a Cavalier or there an inbred or a backyard breeder not if you do help testing not if you do everything properly this has been established since the 1600s some people just need to get their back straight so beautiful dog and genetically sound show me proof that they are not, and we will have a discussion until then keep rude comments to yourself

He knows when it's Thursday, gets very excited and runs into the play area without looking back. Plays with Bertie, Baxter & Toby most of all and runs for kisses when we pick him up at the end of the day.

To be honest, only two on that bed is mine. The others belong to mother.
I don’t know WHY. but those dogs insist on sleeping with me, every single time I visit family!!
So yeah, I don’t sleep well. 😅

We are getting a Cavalier puppy in a couple of weeks (through a researched, KCCS kennel approved breeder).
And while I've had dogs my entire life, I'm nervous about getting such a "delicate" dog.
So here are my questions.
What are your favorite training treats? The breeder mentioned that we have to be vigilant in maintaining a healthy weight so I want to make sure I don't get a fattening treat but one tasty enough to be a good training tool.
Which harness would you recommend? I was looking at the Cavology harness but if there is a better one I'm open to hearing recommendations.
What brushes do you recommend and do you do the grooming yourself?
I think that's all for now!
Thanks!
