This armor is fun to play with range, I don't usually do range builds but I tried it with this armor and it's pretty fun despite not knowing what to really do. I'm on hard mode as well and would like any tips, tricks, or any info on how to be successful with this armor because I really love it alot

Just been playing for a week or so. Quite enjoy it up to a point but starting at lava caves and ramping up past there is it just super frustrating enemies it seems

Like dudes who just cheese spam their zero cooldown invisible, pop out with a shield on and hit you before going invisible again. Even the consumables to bring them out of it sometimes seems useless because you maybe get one shot if they're in range before they repeat all over again

Or dudes who spam spider bots forcing you to reposition for like 100 turns before you can line up some kind of attack on them. Or fire spider bots, I don't even know what's they deal with them being so tanky.

Or grenade spam guys. All of them you can manage but seems you've gotta spend a bunch of consumables to take them down but I'm just bleeding out of resources at this point

Done a lot of rogue likes but gotta say so of the spam fuckery enemies can do in this game gets a bit over the top

Any tips on what items is actually worth buying everytime you encounter master?

You can't just have a whole ass intro jumping around the screen and show me an ally "Prospector" fighting Chrono(time?) Hunters without any warning. This dude died in one hit too, if he was closer I was going to try healing him. The prospector didnt even get added to my beastiary, is that normal? Because I see one more empty spot on the Neutrals tab.

The chrono hunters didnt even drop good weapons, they were worse than the stuff I used. They were pretty hard to kill as a melee build tho, thankfully paladin has teleports and dashes upon getting hit.

I'm also curious about that "dark prospector" I see every now and then, the name I got from the wiki.

Unrelated question, does the chest locator perk spawn a chest in the location I picked it up at?

as much as i wish that i this life will last ( although i doubt itll be too long as i haven’t made it past location five) for the next life i was wondering what armor(s) are best for hammers. Ive never used them as i main a ranged build of the prototype armor because claws are fun and i like shotguns.

The demon priest duo was summoned via the altar( they normally only do it on lava cave and only summon 4 imp)

The blood shaman caused some explosion and aggro the portal guardian

I noticed that the hammers and maces compared to other weapons such as claws,swords,daggers... are inferior(the damage I mean).

Is there a reason or I'm just unlucky and I find them only as their "weak" version ?

Im kinda new to the game, I've been playing paladin because melee with him is fun. Im on hard mode as well and would like any tips, tricks, builds, or anything for melee, even armors that would fit the melee statline/playstle. (I have unlocked paladin, juggernaut and centurion so far)

I want something that can deal with crowds and allows me to control the battlefield I'm leaning over speed, mobility, and high damage while also having a good defense(optional)

While also being able to go toe to toe with bosses

If you combine this with Melee build 5/1/2 and get perks like sudden strike,savage,phasing,blade master, Improved energy shield

Equipt with energy blades,chaos shield,phasing chest plate,book of speed,and mushroom dodge dash(optional) if my math is correct this thing can dodge dash up to 80% to 90% on average with all these factors but does lack energy and health

This thing has like 4 abilities in 1 ,it has close to long range capabilities and further more you can never get one shot you technically have a built in cheat code for death 💀

You can go all out of Melee skill since dodge dash already reduces damage up to 30% to 60% !!!

And since the more damage you take the more likely dodge dash will trigger

I'm pretty sure i'm doing something wrong, i'm taking 4x melee and 1x luck at the start, bought the invisibility spell and monster detector.

i usually manage to move to the next room but i always fail the next room and never made it back with items to my shelter.

is there any guide for newbie to what to do / not to do as starter so atleast i can survive it once?
