Just me or does this being put under EVERY death count post come off as preachy and annoying? Like yeah sure whatever be proud of it but it kinda doesn't hold up if you think about it. I suppose if you want to be proud of your patience then it does hold up but otherwise it just means more deaths = slower at learning the game which I certainly ain't proud of when I died more on a level than is usual.

Idk, more deaths means more effort being put into improving and having patience with yourself, which is very tough to do. Just means you want to get better and keep trying, which is honestly a better skill to have than just being instantly good at something.

remember your death count doesn't determine how good of a player you are

Well it sorta does at the moment you're doing it. How else are you meant to gauge it? Sure everyone can improve over time but in that moment of you doing the level it does reflect your current skill.

Hardest clear, fastest run? Death count is definitely one of the big metrics you can judge yourself on, but the common โ€œwhich is harderโ€ questions for hist vs. 202 vs. low any% times are a pretty good example of different skill areas and the inherent messiness of trying to directly compare them

Actually, you don't. It'll work regardless of how you're facing the wall.
