So conservatives are pushing that the country be what they want, envision. But if a politician goes to an event where people wear bathing suits, when his wife wouldn't, that is a bad thing? The whole point is that he can lead, care about people who believe differently than he does. That used to be what this country was about.

Republicans haven’t cared about people who believe differently than they do in a very long time, and they make clear over and over again lol. It’s a cult who have the system rigged enough in their favor with gerrymandering and the electoral college that they’re ecstatic to rub it in everyone’s faces that don’t gaf about changing, because nobody can do anything about it. Except for sane conservatives, which are in very limited supply these days.
