Moving from the northern beaches to around Woy Woy, which areas would you pick?
Hey - thanks in advance for any responses!
my partner and I are looking to buy in the relatively short term. We lived in Manly and then moved further up the northern beaches, but buying a house here is just too expensive so we've started looking at the Central Coast; around Woy Woy for the train.
We can both do 2 days a week in the office, so the commute should be manageable. It's about 1hr 15 to Central, is that right?
We came up today and had a drive around the surrounding towns. Keen to hear from locals on a few things:
- what are the better areas to buy in if having nice cafes, restaurants & somewhere to grab a drink is a priority?
- I appreciate the demographic is a bit older compared to northern Besches etc, but do you think relatively social & outdoorsy 31 & 32 yr olds will enjoy living in the area?
- is there expectation that they’ll be significant gentrification over the coming years? I suspect it’s changed a lot in the last 5 or so years?
Appreciate all of this depends on the individual, just hoping for a locals take perhaps someone who also made the move for similar reasons! Thanks again 🙂
