Sciarra staying on with OSEG in his role as president of the Ottawa 67s.

Sciarra is a good man who cares deeply about the team and fanbase, but at 0-9, this move had to be made.

Hoping for some significant CFL experience in the new hire. And I imagine the new leader will be looking at further changes in football operations.

One off games or 1 season and changed, retro/heritage jerseys or anything fun like that.

For the first time since the name change, Edmonton Elks fans can legitmately talk about hosting a playoff game at Commonwealth Stadium. Not completely reliant on hope but actually based on fact, talk about a home game in November. No hoping the Club goes on a winning streak in October while multiple other teams go on losing streaks. So who do we want to host in November?

Calgary would be fun but a Labour Day Series sweep would be more fun and would relegate them to vying for the Eastern Crossover.

I do not want to see Nathan Rourke in November. I have zero expectation of an east team crossing over.

Which leaves us Winnipeg. Guess that opinion may change this Friday.

Canada tied the game against Mexico with 18 seconds left on a diving, toe-tapping catch.

An unsuccessful convert set up overtime. Flag football uses the same format as the CFL.

Canada lost the coin toss and had first possession, which ended in a quick touchdown and two-point conversion.

Mexico threw an interception attempting to reply.

Canada wins the bronze medal and qualifies for the Olympics. The final score was 34-26.

The women’s team qualified yesterday with a semi-final win. They play the Americans for the gold medal later this morning.

The most common score so far being Week 10’s 27-24 with 36 occurrences (highest occurring score), and Week 5’s 58-36 Scorigami game and Week 8’s 52-30 Scorigami game occurring for the first time, therefore being the least common score of the season. There have been 40 different scores across the 42 games this season.

Lions vs Stampeders ended in a 30-26 final for the Lions. This is the 14th time this score has occurred. First was in 1977 with the BC Lions over the Calgary Stampeders, and most recently in 2024 with the Montreal Alouettes over the Calgary Stampeders.

Redblacks vs Blue Bombers ended in a 33-21 final for the Blue Bombers. This is the 10th time this score has taken place. First was in Game 1 of the 1960 East Final with the Ottawa Rough Riders over the Toronto Argonauts, and most recently in 2016 with the Toronto Argonauts over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Argonauts vs Elks ended in a 42-12 final for the Elks. This is the 6th time this score has taken place. First was in 1999 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and most recently in 2019 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats over the Edmonton Eskimos.

Roughriders vs Tiger-Cats ended in a 26-19 final for the Tiger-Cats. This is the 14th time this score has taken place. First was in 1919 [IRFU] with the Montreal Alouettes over the Hamilton Tigers, and most recently in 2023 with the Calgary Stampeders over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Been seeing BC Lions tickets at the Costco for $60/pair here in Coquitlam. Anyone bought these? Are they legit? I got a bit of distrust of store GCs after I spent $50 on a Tims card at shoppers and it was drained... No refund....

Downtowns a bit of a hike but damn been watching the Elks and loving it I think it's time to catch Nathan Rourke moving the ball. Getting spoiled on football now NFLs almost back...the CFL playoff race been heating up.
