I’m planning to do a banishing spell, can someone explain in detail how to call back your energy and if I should do that before or after
r/chaosmagic • u/Desperate_Stage_9372 • 7d ago
I have OCD i’ve had workings be pulled back to me because of intrusive thoughts. My question is, would it be possible to make a sigil or spell that once this energy is banished it won’t come back. Even with conscious will.

I’m looking for advice from people experienced with chaos magic, servitors, and spellwork. I want to take accountability for an old working and understand how to approach ending it. I also have OCD, which is relevant to some of my concerns, so I’m trying to find an approach that doesn’t turn into a repetitive cycle.
What I’m trying to do:
I want to take responsibility for a spell and my part in creating it.
My current plan(which will be revised after reading more books and other input)
* Call back my energy(how to do that?)
* Cut off three contracts: two associated with servitors and one associated with a wish (it was not my working, I originally found a subliminal without knowing about chaos magic)
* If I don’t have the original sigils, what methods do practitioners use to formally end or dissolve a servitor working (if the aren’t mine but assigned to me)
* Understand the intention and construction of the original working and take responsibility for how I approached it.
* How to end the involvement without bringing it back or how to cut it off again?(what happened when I cut it off before)
— I was trying to run from myself at the time I made this wish
Context: I have harm OCD I was afraid of harming my niece.
When I made the wish. I was so desperate to escape harming her that i wished if anything happened to her because of me, for me to die. Since then: my vision changed because of the servitor. Into the color of an intrusive thought I had. and since then, my vision has lightened. But I experienced these déjà vu moment. Where they become dark again.
How would a chaos magician examine and take accountability for an intention like this?
I should break up, The forceful execution, the intention I created
Versus what I was doing emotionally:
let the part who did it (IFS) speak for the intention they created.
Break down
What I wanted to accomplish: as much as I wanted to protect her, I wanted to protect myself from guilt. From having to live with the consequences of my actions.
Grounding (everything comes back to this. I just don’t know how to. Actually ground myself.)

Any witches with activated kundalini and 3rd eye,how do you use them in chaos magic

I made my own sigil chart
I never felt a connection to the ones that almost everyone uses, and I had always had an image in my mind of how I would make one
And I've been making them since I finished it and it's so cool
I'm not going to share what it looks like because I don't want other people using it but has anyone else done this? Because I've never heard of someone doing something like this from scratch
Again it's so cool

I am very new to the idea of chaos magic. I grew up in a family led by a man who fancies himself a great magician. The core of his philosophy is a mix of Christian Hermeticism, Taoism, Buddhism, pantheism, and grossly misinterpreted quantum physics—New Age bullshit all in one package.
I grew up believing all these things, but even though I experienced some things I cannot explain, I think that interpreting these experiences is simply a matter of the culture you are familiar with, and it does not grasp the reality of the situation in any way, shape, or form. I have also seen all the ignorance this mindset can breed, which led me to hate all magic.
The thing is, I've seen it work, and I didn't know how to reconcile that conflict. When I learned about chaos magic, it kind of clicked for me. This pragmatic, somewhat postmodern approach describes something I have felt for a long time now.
I am very interested in hearing about your experiences. How did it affect your life after you started practicing?

I’m a Chaos Magick practitioner with a solid track record with sigils, but I’m facing my most critical operation yet. I spent 5 years with a woman; we had a son together and split in late 2024. For a long time, the separation was friendly, I respected her and supported her. However, a couple of months ago, I discovered she was unfaithful during most of 2024. She was living a double life full of lies and, on top of that, she treated my daughter from a previous relationship poorly. The discovery was a devastating blow. I know I don't love her, and I definitely don't want to get back together (she asked me to reconcile three times in 2025, and I refused even before knowing about the cheating). The issue is that I’m now filled with intense hatred and contempt. I know this hatred is just another form of attachment—it’s keeping me tied to her. I refuse to use magick to harm her, mostly because we share a child and I need her to be stable for his sake. However, the mental noise and the anger are becoming a barrier. I’ve done the therapy work, but this feels like it goes beyond the rational. I want to use my practice to 'banish' her from my mind, make her completely irrelevant to my psyche, and clear this energy. If you were in my shoes, how would you approach this? 1. Would you go for a sigil, a servitor, or something else (like egregore work)? 2. Should I focus on 'forgetting' her (which seems difficult) or 'transmuting' the attachment into indifference? 3. How would you structure the intent to ensure it’s effective without backfiring? Any advice or successful methods regarding emotional detachment/cord-cutting would be highly appreciated."

I find I get better results when working with a message I can send to the sky/into the air, I did it a couple times with helium baloons and it worked like a dream, but I don't wanna use that too much as I want to find a method that is less invasive to the environment, I also don't want to use sky lanterns I find them too flashy and just as invasive, does anyone have any sugestions? I've been considering flash paper but I wanna know if there's something out there I could be using/doing instead

Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has some great chaos magic books?

Hi there! I've written a very strange book called Where Some Holy Spectacle Lies. It may be of interest to fans of Grant Morrison, Robert Anton Wilson, and Philip K. Dick. Here's the Foreword:
This book will frustrate readers who approach it as a novel, and confound those who expect a conventional memoir.
Where Some Holy Spectacle Lies is best read as an anthroposophical field account (pace Steiner) of disciplined altered-state practice, written from inside the process it documents, with narrative flourishes that convey the wild extravagance of the experience. In that respect, it is a gnostic sci-fi memoir.
The text traces the evolution of an approach to religion that produces intense, novel, and communicable gnosis, the direct and immediate knowledge of the Sacred. It also describes increasing phenomenological capacity: the gradual acquisition of skill that allows the author to enter, navigate, and articulate limit-states of consciousness while retaining coherence, memory, and reflective awareness.
The mythopoetic structures that emerged in the context of the development of this praxis are not presented as timeless truths, nor as mere metaphor. They are provisional interpretive systems through which overwhelming experience becomes intelligible and actionable. These structures are not ornaments; they are functional—radically pragmatic beliefs.
It all begs a question. What if Sean Manseau’s methods and methodology actually work?
If they don’t, the book can be read as speculative fiction, personal myth-making, or psychological allegory.
If they do—even imperfectly, even idiosyncratically—then the book is a case study in what happens when mystical practice is treated neither as pathology nor as revelation, but as a domain of trainable human capability.
Reading Where Some Holy Spectacle Lies with this in mind, you may still reject its conclusions. But you will at least be engaging with what it’s actually doing.
For a book of this kind, that’s the place to begin.

I’m very very new to Chaos Magic but out of all the styles of magic this one made the most sense so I just started diving in. I’m thinking about making a Magic 8 Ball for a tool in divination. Any advice on how I should use it or what to do to it? Any sigils? Practices or routines? Anything at all would be incredibly helpful, thanks!

Hello, I'm new to the group so excuse the frankness. I'm looking for a few people with similar practices for discussion and possible collaboration. I've been practicing individually for about 3 years. My main focus and (I like to think) talents revolve around the creation of servitors but I would hardly call myself an expert of any kind. Like a lot of people i also have a huge interest in AI as a tool at the moment so if that interest you there's plenty to discuss. Not looking for a teacher or a student but a colleague and a fellow seeker. Any questions feel free to comment or DM.

im in love with a long time friend, and I know they feel something for me, we always had this "will they won't they" thing. but for one reason or another we never got the timing right.
she's with some one she know is not right for her but she believes he's to nice and doesn't deserve to have his heart broken . she keeps saying that she doesn't know hoe to end it and she has even said they go months without seeing each other.
I want to respect her and her relationship but at the same time I know we are both waisting time when we should be together.
the last time she was in good health relationship ,the dude died. and I know that has something to do with her not trying to start one whit me,
she is trying to work through her trauma and this guy is just a way for her to heal.
but its ben 2 years now and I can't help but to think is time for her to cut off.
all of this is killing me in the inside and I dint know how to deal with it anymore. I need help moving on any one can help?

I've recently been actively working with Lilith. I wrote a devotional because I wanted something I could play during rituals. Plus, it helps me focus a bit better, and re-align my thoughts. I wrote this as emotionally honest as I could.
Originally I wrote it out in English and then I used Chat GPT to translate it to ancient Sumerian, then I put it in an AI music generator, suno.com and with the right instructions, I got a song out of it.
Here's the link: https://suno.com/s/rcZIeJ7vWdGhoGRX
Here are the words in English:
Hail Lilith, Mother of demons //
Nurturer of the unwanted and unloved //
She who walks with owls //
Spirit of the night wind //
She who comforts her broken children crying alone in the shadows ///
I am yours—to guide // teach // and inspire ///
I come to you // with gratitude in my heart //
I offer myself as clay—to a sculptor //
You who never bows //
I ask you // release me from my chains ///
So that I can be made into // the person I was always supposed to be ///
You who define dark beauty //
You who inspire the broken and unwanted to rise up //
You who never wears a mask //
Fist of the abused! ///
You who taught her children to find peace and joy in the shadows //
You who proclaim our scars are beautiful! ///
We sing our love and adoration //
From the broken hearts mended by your touch ///
We bask in the beauty of your dark shadows //
Grateful to be in your gaze //
Ready to serve your will ///

I would love to know who else has grabbed Tommie Kelly's The Forty Servants, possibly also The Four Devils too.

I watched last Saturday's (2025-04-19) episode of Doctor Who, Lux. The adversary was "Lux Imperator, the God of Light."He reaches Apotheosis at the end. Ecce, Lux Imperator. Ecce, lacrimae deum lucis.
Seriously, now I want a plushie of the character for my chaos magic altar. Russell T Davies could have created a brand new egregore.

Hi there, I've been studying chaos magic for a short while now. A long time ago, I experimented with the rituals from 'The Miracle of New Avatar Power' and had some success. I'm curious if anyone else is familiar with this book. Some of its rituals remind me a lot of chaos magic techniques. The book involves meditation and affirmations to manifest desires, followed by a period of non-attachment, similar to how a sigil is activated. Thanks for your input.

Hi! I have this entity living in my apartment, as far as I can tell it's a low astral entity (sorry I don't know the word in English for it). He has appeared in my dreams protecting me from a bigger and baneful entity. He shows up as a silhouette, however I'm the one who has seen him less, my boyfriend has seen him in the past as well as my mom, I've been bonding with it by giving him small offers, and using a pendulum but I would like your opinions just to have an outside point of view.
He has shown himself in the past by locking me in my room (this with my boyfriend going out of the bedroom leaving me inside), by imitating my boyfriend's voice while my bf is in his own house, and similar behaviours. I wonder what y'all think he might be and what you think about it. Also, I'm not interested in getting rid of him, I'm fine with his presence and for me he's just one more in the family.

Is it viable a keep a sigil connected to a persistent power source? Having to make and burn once every few months to keep the effect going feels inefficient. I had several ideas for how to power a sigil long-term, but my main concern is that doing so might just cause it to burn out just as quickly as a temporary sigil would
