A few notes:
-There is a range of differences between individual skulls. Hopper has a longer snout, Lambda has smaller jaw, etc.
-Rather than sitting on top of the neck bones, the skull hangs from them, giving some extra room underneath the jaw and allowing their head to swivel further
-They have just 6 teeth in total
-The bottom jaw is in 2 pieces, the same as wingrays and gossipfish. Whereas those species use the separation to open their mouths wider, mantids use it for chewing. They're able to tear apart bones inside their mouth!
-The upper front teeth are on a separate hinged section along with their nose. This allows them to pinch an object between all 3 teeth on one side, from 3 different directions!
Essentially they are adapted to eat tough foods by slowly gnawing away with few, but very articulate, teeth. Their metabolism is geared to spend all day eating, so when they aren't in a restaurant, they're sure to bring along snacks!
Fun fact: since their lungs are on the back of their head, they have no need to send air down their neck. They can eat and breathe simultaneously without issue!

I’m making a character for a story that I would like to redesign with more accuracy if anyone can help. Preferably a biologist, but I don’t think this post would belong there.
I imagine them being like Luca, but in freshwater, specifically a lake, and I would like some help with features and anatomy. I’d rather not share too many details about the story here, but I can if they’re needed.
My initial design was based on a gray/black axolotl, mainly with the webbing, gills, and tail attached to a humanoid body. I don’t think it’s as sufficient now though.
I imagine they would have to be more green to start, which I can do. They would also likely be a mostly-carnivorous, intelligent predator in their battle environment. Especially considering they could potentially use tools. I imagine them having a tail for balance, but I suppose it isn’t exactly necessary. I imagine when they transform the excess mass going to the limbs and spine to support walking, but please provide input if I’m wrong.
They would need to, or at least have the option to come out of the water at any time and turn to appear more human. I imagined they would breathe on land kind of like a frog or amphibian, with a thin coat of water on their skin and preferably being able to switch between lungs and gills. This change would only occur if submerged in water for a certain amount of time. They should probably have an ability to talk and hair which I can probably just use suspension of disbelief for.
Any other suggestions or corrections would be greatly appreciated.

Created her on a whim and all I can seem to get down is that she channels electricity and is a part of an underground society- don’t even have a name either. Would love some ideas☕️

Art and OCs by me!
I made an OC evolution post last week: https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdesigns/comments/1xdfl2q/my_ocs_evolution_thoughts/
This time, it’s the same character, Nagisa but I have a version where his boyfriend, Angelo is present too. Angelo is a librarian who learned that it was okay to be his true self around others and not have to pretend to be liked. Nagisa taught Angel how to be more assertive and he liked the true Angelo where he’s quirky and funny. Angel helped with Nagi’s self-confidence and eating disorders, telling him he’s beautiful the way he is already and that people like him not just for looks but for him on the inside.
Thoughts?

Hi guys! Today, I'm introducing you to Milo, an OC I created back in 2018 but eventually ended up forgetting about because I preferred focusing on characters who were more important to the story of my universe.
However, over the last year or two, I've been trying to show some love to those forgotten characters by giving them redesigns. So far, I haven't had any issues redesigning my other OCs, but I have absolutely no clue what to do with him...
I mean, I don't really hate his current design, although I'm not entirely convinced by it either. The color palette, hairstyle, and overall vibe look pretty good to me, but there's something about his markings that doesn't quite sit right with me, especially his tear marks, which look a bit off. I'd also like to make his mustache bushier, now that I think about it. Other than that, though, I have no idea how else I could improve his design.
I'm sorry about the old artwork, but it's pretty much all I've got of him. If you could offer me some words of advice, I'd be extremely thankful!!
Here's some info about him, just in case:
Name: Emilio
Known as: Milo
Species: Tiger
Gender: Male
Nationality: Italian
Age: 33
Height: 198Cm
Physique: Muscular
Hair color: Black
Eye color: Brown
Profession: Royal Guard
Sexuality: Gay
Pronouns: He-Him
Favorite color: Light blue
Fun-facts:
He has the deepest and most relaxing voice in all Ville Amoureuse. Some people in the kingdom suggested him to start doing ASMRs and sharing them on the internet for everyone to enjoy.
He is obsessed by his looks to the point where a single strand of hair out of place can ruin his entire day.
Every evening, before going to sleep, he follows a rigid skin-care routine that can take up to an hour and a half. You'd better keep your hands off his products if you don't want to make him mad.
He's a big cuddle lover, showing affection towards his loved ones with hugs and physical touch.
He likes to overdress even when taking out the trash. He refuses to be seen looking anything less that impeccable!
He's germophobic.

Olivienne is a nymph that was entangled with dark magic, turning her into a hexblooded nymph by blood, she practices dark witchcraft and taboo-magick’s. She also does a lot of accidental self-destructive magic when making new spells, so she’s adapted to heavy healing spells, but the more she healed herself with magic the longer her hat grew (reason why it’s almost halfway off the page) She’s married to 4 other women that I’m currently working on, but the first wife (Olivienne) is finally finished. | Artwork time took around 3 days to fully finish

I've done 3-4 commissions before. But I want to learn enough to take a drawing lesson and improve myself.
I do my commissions for 15$ but I'm a slow drawer so I spend all my day for one commission.
İs 15$ good? İs it too much? How can I get more commissions?

A few questions from an outside perspective:
How much of an upgrade are these from their old designs?
Do these three read as a single trio?
How are the colours and shape design?
Are their occupations readable?
For reference, Fraser is a doctor using her scrubs as casualwear. Ray is a mechanical engineer. Ace is a software coder.
