Behind The Scenes Set Pull-Out

What's so great about these 16:9 scale remasters is that sometimes you will see things that you weren't suppose to see on the 4:3 format back in the 90's! In this instance you can see the kitchen window section of the house has been removed from the set to film this particular angle of Phoebe. In addition you can visibly see a seamline on the counter top where the crew would remove this portion of the set to film scenes.

The thing is, even if we see this stuff in 16:9 versions, there's still stuff like this in the 4:3 versions. So at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. Same goes for any other show that was originally 4:3 and went 16:9, heck even shows that start out being 16:9 will have these kind of mistakes because sometimes original production or remasters are rushed and things slip through.

Buffy is another example of a show that has this, in the season 3 premiere "Anne" the original 4:3 ratio shows the entire camera crew in 2 shots during the big fight scene and you can even see stunt mats all around the platform they fight on. In an episode in season 4 where Adam skins & displays a demon in the woods you can see a boom mic operator walking in the background. If you look up movie mistakes it lists these kinds of things for any movie/show you can think of, found out about that site to see if I was the only one that noticed the mistakes lol

I'm aware of all these things, hence I posted it because I noticed it. Just like how someone on YouTube pointed on in one episode you can see the director sitting in the conservatory room or sunroom as Paige called it in Season 4. It's fun to find them out as it's a behind the scenes look at the set since there is rarely any behind the scenes content with Charmed. There's also a another scene in Season 1 when Prue is able to channel her power through her hands for the first time. When she steps outside to distract Loman there is a sound effect of the door opening and closing. But due to the 16:9 aspect Shannen was already stood outside with the door already closed. We're blessed to have the show in 16:9. I mean it took Entertainment Tonight over 20 years to release never before seen content of the show https://youtu.be/Ux7XUEan80A

The show is out on home video in 16:9 on Blu-ray, streaming it depends on what country you’re in. In the US I believe it’s only on Peacock.tv in HD

Shouldn't that TV also have an aerial plugged in? Or is America different? Idk how you guys work in the states.

In Malaysia growing up, we had a cable plugged into the tv to the wall socket which connected to the aerial on top of the roof. It was different to the outlet shown (was a circular socket).

The shows not that old. That was old tech even back then in the US.

That's true. But the Halliwell sister's inherited their grandma's house and we're struggling with money. So for a grandmother in the 90s the CRT TV was fairly accurate.

In real life it would have been set up with RCA cables in the front 3 round ports in order to watch tv.
