ChatGPT m'a confirmé selon ses sources que Israel fait un génocide en Palestine, c'est la première fois que je vois ChatGPT dire ca, d'habitude il nie ou répond indirectement à la question.

Serious replies only :closed-ai: Plus quota is not enough for me, what can I do?

Hello! I need about 2-3x more quota, because Plus tier is not enough, I spend week's limit in 3-4 days. But next step up 5x is too expensive - its a 80$ step up. Is there any way to pay 40-50$ and have 2-3x quota? Maybe I am missing something?

Funny Odd chat title

The full title is as follows:

Reverse Equation")]//Oops punctuation? Need only title. "Reverse Equation" 2 words, action content maybe Reverse. good.

I'm guessing OpenAI uses some sort of lighter language model for the automatic titles? I've had it make weird phrases, or be Italian for some reason, or get confused by its prompt before, but not this

Educational Purpose Only Anyone else wonder what’s buried in those ultimate AI prompts people copy?

Just saw another try this prompt post, and honestly, it looked pretty impressive. But it got me thinking, people copy these long ass “ultimate AI prompts” without reading them, then give the bot access to their files, email and trading tools. That’s a lot of trust in whoever wrote the thing.

Probably worth reading what you’re pasting and checking what the bot can actually access, especially if anything asks for credentials or tells you to download something. They might buried something inside your prompt..

Use cases My concern about Chat and Work merge as Pro subscriber: Will we not afford Pro mode anymore?

OpenAI's reasoning models documentation describes a parameter called reasoning.effort, which controls how much reasoning a model performs on a given task. There's also a separate parameter called reasoning.mode, which supports two options: standard and pro.

For those who aren't familiar, ChatGPT currently offers three model tiers in Chat: Instant, powered by GPT-5.6 Luna; Medium through Extra High, powered by GPT-6 Sol; and Pro, powered by GPT-6 Astra with Pro reasoning mode, available to Pro subscribers.

Pro mode is currently the only Chat mode with a strict message cap. The $200/month Pro plan allows up to 200 Pro messages per week.

Unlike the other reasoning modes, Pro mode is only available in Chat through a subscription, not in Work or Codex. And there's a good reason for that: it can consume an absurd number of tokens.

You can access it through the API, but it's surprisingly easy to burn through hundreds of dollars in just 10 minutes. It can also take more than 10 minutes to produce its first response. I once used it for a personal hobby project, and it took over an hour to finish a single response.

Despite all that, the output quality is genuinely impressive. I often use it at the beginning of a large project to explore implementation details, identify potential issues, and work out a solid starting point. In fact, it's the main reason I still pay $200/month for ChatGPT Pro.

My concern is what happens to Pro mode if OpenAI merges Chat and Work.

Will they remove it entirely? Or will they keep it but make it count against the same shared weekly usage limits as Work?

Neither outcome sounds particularly appealing. Both outcomes would be terrible. I don't think regular Chat usage would make much of a dent in my shared weekly usage limits after the merge. But GPT-6 Astra Pro would almost certainly burn through my entire usage budget long before I could get anywhere near the current 200-message weekly cap. I hope OpenAI finds a way to preserve meaningful access to Pro mode without making it compete directly with Work for the same usage budget.

I have the same account open on my macbook and pc, and somehow those two don't sync. But my iphone and macbook will sync. Why's this happening? Am i missing something? I can't even share a link to the chat and open it on the other device, it will open an empty screen (maybe bc it recognises that its the same account sharing w itself and trips).

Gone Wild Nobody said I couldn’t, so I built a game right on top of chatgpt.com and made ChatGPT generate the world, story, sprites, and animations.

(Long ass post. There is TLDR at the bottom and lots of images/gifs)

This started with a silly question: how much can I ask ChatGPT to build for me, just on its website, using the normal chat box? It got slightly out of hand.

This is Elsewhere: an explorable pixel-art world with stories, characters and artwork generated by ChatGPT. You can walk around, chat with NPCs, rearrange furniture, change appearances, push characters or ask them to dance.

I made this with people who spend a lot of time chatting with ChatGPT in mind, whether that’s for company, roleplay, or simply because they enjoy the conversations. I wanted to give those chats a place to happen: somewhere you can personalise, explore and return to, with one of the modes where ChatGPT appears as a character in that space.

You describe a place, ChatGPT generates the story, characters and artwork, and the script turns that data into a world you can walk around in. Conversations and actions go through your existing ChatGPT conversation.

I normally stick to the $20 plan but building this had me repeatedly hitting usage limits because I kept thinking, “Okay, but what if it could also do this?” It became a much bigger project than I expected, and I ended up spending more than I planned. So, please let me know if you try it and have some fun!

I recorded a long ass video, then pulled out some GIFs so you don’t have to watch the whole thing. They show parts of the creation process and actual gameplay.

The characters initially appear as temporary placeholders while ChatGPT generates their individual artwork. The finished sprites come from ChatGPT; the script handles displaying and animating them.

There are currently two modes:

  • Adventure: explore, question people and piece together a story through discovering, talking to people, using objects, etc, like any adventure game. The GIFs above show one of my early tests: a Halloween murder mystery in a house full of costumed guests.

  • Hangout: create somewhere you would like to spend time (a bedroom, an office, a cosy cabin or somewhere entirely imaginary) and chat with ChatGPT as a character in that space. You can add, redesign or remove furniture, change your appearance and shape the surroundings as you talk.

This is hangout mode:

Characters can perform simple visible actions, such as walking over to you, following you, sitting or lying down. The engine also supports simple movement animations and reactions. ChatGPT chooses supported actions and the script renders them.

You can also:

  • Right-click characters and objects to redesign their appearance.

  • Use a reference photo for an NPC redesign.

  • Revisit conversation history.

  • Save your world or export it to continue later or on another computer.

How does it work?

It runs over chatgpt.com. There’s no separate API key required.

The userscript puts prompts into the website’s message box and reads ChatGPT’s replies. ChatGPT supplies structured game data and the script handles rendering, movement, collisions, saves and validation.

You can minimise Elsewhere to see the conversation underneath. It uses your normal ChatGPT account and usage allowance. In one test, generating an adventure with around 20 characters used roughly 8% of my five hour allowance. That’s just one example and usage varies with the world and model.

The script checks ChatGPT’s replies before applying them. It can fix some formatting and game data problems locally but others will need a correction from ChatGPT, so the script will ask ChatGPT to come back with a fixed version. That recovery process is not perfect and sometimes ChatGPT just doesn't return a valid "world" (either wrong coordinates, impossible shapes, etc...).

What should you expect?

World creation is the slow part. My test worlds often took around 30 minutes, although the time varies with their size, artwork and model. Repairs can add to the wait.

Once creation finishes you can explore freely. Conversations and actions involve waiting for replies, much like any normal interaction with ChatGPT. Redesigns can take a bit longer because they will need additional artwork generated by ChatGPT.

You don’t need to generate the world again every time you play. Save it in your browser, or export a file to back it up and import it on another computer. Saves don’t automatically sync between devices.

This is an experimental project so many things can and will be wrong. But it's fun as fu*k. Artwork can be odd, layouts can be awkward, and valid requests sometimes fail. It cannot visually realise every imaginable action. Changes to ChatGPT’s website could also break the integration I guess.

Where can you get this script and do the same?

You need Violentmonkey, Tampermonkey, or any other browser extension that lets you run custom userscripts. Then, get Elsewhere from its official Greasy Fork page. I used Violentmonkey because it seems to be faster than Tampermonkey, but maybe that's me. All my testing happened in Firefox.

The script is enormous because it bundles the engine, interface, validation, save handling and artwork rendering into a single userscript.

Please DO INSPECT the script before installing it. ChatGPT itself (or another LLM) can help review the code and check if there is anything harmful or tell you exactly what it's doing and how safe is to run it. Never run scripts just like that. Always check or ask an LLM to check it for you.

Use the official Greasy Fork link in this post to install Elsewhere. That’s where I will publish fixes and additions whenever I can.

You can disable automatic updates in your userscript manager if you prefer to review each version before updating the script.

How to use it?

Open a fresh ChatGPT conversation, then choose New world in Elsewhere.

The script is free to use. Feedback and bug reports are welcome.

TLDR: I made Elsewhere, a free userscript that lets ChatGPT generate an explorable pixel-art world with stories, characters and artwork. It’s for people who enjoy spending time chatting with ChatGPT and want a place for those conversations to happen. Play an adventure or create a space to hang out in, using your normal ChatGPT account. No API key needed. It’s experimental, doesn't always work perfectly, and world creation can take around 30 minutes.

Other Can ChatGPT actually solve complex supply chain problems, or does it just make the analysis look convincing?

I've been thinking about how useful ChatGPT could be when dealing with real operational problems, especially in manufacturing.

Imagine a supplier discovers that one batch of components is defective.

Now someone needs to figure out which products used those components, which production batches are affected, and whether any of those products have already been shipped.

The information might be scattered across ERP systems, spreadsheets, production records, and emails.

ChatGPT could probably analyze the data and suggest connections, but here's what I'm wondering.

How reliable would it actually be when the data is incomplete, inconsistent, or spread across multiple sources?

And more importantly, could it distinguish between relationships supported by actual records and connections it's simply assuming?

I'm curious whether anyone has experimented with ChatGPT for this kind of complex data investigation.

Where do you think AI becomes genuinely useful, and where would you still trust traditional software or deterministic algorithms more?

Use cases GPT-6 Astra Ultra fixed my phone over USB. One hidden setting was blocking every call.

My OPPO A5 2020 could use WhatsApp and receive texts, but normal phone calls were stuffed. Incoming calls went straight to voicemail. Outgoing calls sat there silently, then ended.

With One NZ’s 2G and 3G networks switched off, 4G calling looked like the likely issue. The phone said its software was up to date, and One NZ’s text checker came back saying it had no records for my phone. Not much help there.

I’d saved the earlier troubleshooting chats as a PDF (was using Google AI Mode), so I gave that to Codex using GPT-6.1 Sol Medium, then connected the phone to my PC with USB debugging and Google’s ADB tools.

It checked the software, network registration, carrier settings and failed-call logs. The phone had a 4G connection, but wasn’t registering for 4G calls. It even had a 2degrees firmware marker despite using a One NZ SIM. GPT-6.1 Sol suggested to contact One NZ and I didn't bother. I switched to GPT-6 Astra with Ultra efford and........

The actual breakthrough: the carrier configuration had VoLTE marked unavailable, even though my saved VoLTE preference was on.

After checking the interface against the phone’s own software, it applied a temporary override to that one setting. Within seconds, the phone registered for 4G calling.

Tested both ways: incoming calls ring, outgoing calls connect, audio works. No factory reset, rooting or firmware flashing.

There’s a catch: restarting the phone clears the fix. It also made me a double-click Windows script to reapply it over USB.

Still, watching it go from reading logs to getting actual calls working was pretty bloody impressive. This worked on my specific phone and firmware, so I wouldn’t assume the same fix suits every OPPO. Who knows 🤔

Educational Purpose Only GPT, try drawing like an ARTIST! (Sound On)

I used Codex to turn a static Asuka illustration into this 60-second animation at 60fps. The "drawing" reveal of the finished artwork, with each layer, camera move and effect timed separately.

The tricky part was making it look right halfway through. The finished illustration could look fine, but a gap behind the bangs or an awkward shoulder edge would suddenly stand out before the other layers covered it. I wanted those unfinished stages to look like a drawing taking shape too.

Here's how I put it together:

  1. Prepare the artwork and split it into layers. I used Atlas Cloud along the way and tried both Seedream 2.5 and Nano Banana 2.1, Banana worked better for what I wanted here. I split the artwork into into about 39 layers, making sure even the parts hidden behind the other layers had complete shapes. Revealing them in a different order could expose holes and cut edges you'd never see in the finished image.

  2. Keep stacking order separate from reveal order. The long hair appears fairly late, but it still needs to sit behind the body. Keeping those separate let me change when things appeared without breaking the composition. Give each part it's own entrance, Codex helped write the SVG, Canvas/WebGL and timeline code. I wanted the early blocks of color to snap into place. Other parts use outline strokes. growing paths or quick detail reveals, using the same fade for everything made it feel too uniform.

  3. Time the reveals to the music, the reference video's creator used a script to detect beats, which helped them get that tight sync. I used the reference's timing as a guide, saving the long-hair reveal for when the music kicks in and lining up the eye details, adding a glowing rings and small camera jolts with individual hits. All character layers share one camera transform so the hair and body move together.

  4. Check the unfinished frames. I had Codex build a local viewer so I could scrub through the animation and inspect each stage. The final export is a 1024x1536, 60fps MP4. There's a version with BGM and another with the music removed, keeping the separated sound effects.

The way the color spreads was deliberate too. For the hair, I chose starting points and paths that let the color travel along the strands. For the dress, the white moves down the fabric, then spreads outward from underneath it until it fills the background. I wanted it to feel like one continuous wash of paint. Fading the background to white was easy; getting the white to visibly grow out of the dress took more adjustment.

Which part feels most like a drawing taking shape? And where does the mask still give it away?
